Oh, gosh, I loved it. Completely and UTTERLY LOVED it all, from beginning to end. I know it's been 'bout four hours since I began but they were truly worth it. I fell in love with the story and how you wrote the characters and I think I mostly fell in love with Jetfire and Starscream. Thank you for such a great and pleasing reading, I deeply enjoyed it!

Okay, so...sat down this morning to read me a good comfort fic and what do I find? An emotional roller coaster! Wow!
I absolutely love the way you were able to portray this story in a way that was vividly and emotionally clear without having to resort to the 'gory details' of what had happened to Starscream. Now, I admit that the seeker has never been one of my favored bots (mostly cause I'm one of those silly Autobot fangirls ^_^) but this story paints him in a light that isn't only beautiful but believable. And Jetfire's determined love for an abused mech? So adorable! Willingly ready to deny everything he'd known until that moment just to make Starscream happy. Who could be so lucky? Starscream certainly deserved the happiness he found in the end. Good job!

Holy cow that was long. And 'cause I'm a moron, I just HAD to sit and read it all in one sitting. Gawd I'm tired.
But, anyways, THAT STORY FRIGGIN RULED! I love how you made the characters interact. Jetfire was absolutely adorable, the way he loved and cared about Starscream like that made my heart happy. And, poor Starscream!! Aww!! That made my heart sad! But I adored how vulnerable and conflicted you made him.
It was a very bitter-sweet ending, in my opinion. On the one hand, Starscream isn't completely one hundred percent healed and it still going to be plagued by the horrible memories of his previous life and it seems to be very possible that he won't ever be "normal" ... But on the other hand, he at least has a CHANCE at having a good life, surrounded by people that love him, and Jetfire and Optimus are going to be there every step of the way to make sure that Starscream recovers as fully as he can considering what all he went through. So... okay, yeah I like the ending when it's put like that. I just had to convince myself.
Anyway... (phew, that was long-winded), very VERY good fanfic... though, next time I read it, I'm not going to stay up all night to do so.

I loved this story so much, I totally started crying at chapter 35. I thought he really was going to die. But then when he woke up, I had done a happy dance. XD Love, love, LOVE this story, a total fave.

Lack of individuality, population control, no freedom . . . Anthem?

Aw. That was adorable; the quintessential hurt/comfort pairing piece. I went from reading your AMAZING AMAZING crackfic to this, and I have to confess that I was a lot more entertained than I expected to be, especially considering all the emo you put Starscream through. (it's a little much, heh).

But really, the emotions of the situation are well done, and I like how you define the situation through flashbacks. You also give many different characters time to shine, and I very much enjoy how you developed Jetfire's interest. It all felt natural and unforced.

This story is long and goes through some kind of circular story arcs (Starscream is injured, gets better, rashly is allowed to go out into the open, gets injured again, shakes in the corner fro a while but eventually gets better, only to... well, you get the idea). There are plenty of writers who could make such events seem tedious but you manage to avoid it by skillful character development and by switching things up enough to maintain a decent level of suspense.

All in all, an extremely sweet story. I'm so glad I read it and will definitely enjoy reading it again. Good job!
