It was one of my favorite episdoes for Season 3, along with the Painted Lady, The Day of Black Sun, the Western Air Temple and The Boiling Rock. I did relate a lot to Katara in the Awakening. I'll explain more in a PM. I really did like your story. I honestly agreed with what Katara did or how she treated her Dad in the episode. I had a feeling somethin' was goin' on between them since the beginning of the show. And I was right. I didn't think the Awakening was a disappointment at all. I really liked it. I actually cried during the scene with Katara/Hakoda. I'll explain more in a PM. I hope to read more from you soon. Lauren

I loved how you kept the characters, well... in character. :) Also liked your version of what would have happened between season 2 and season 3. I completely agree about finding it odd that Aang would be left alone in his condition. At least 'the headband' was awesome. Now if they'd only release a new episode. :)

Aangs fangirl1214 2007-10-01 ch 1,	abuseThis was really good! I am with you on hating how Aang woke up alone. I think it would have been awesome for Katara to wake up with him. Anyway, I think the conversation with her father was very sweet and caring, I wish my Dad would listen to me that way. Hakoda seems so great and kind. Toph is so funny, the comment about Sokka made me laugh! I think my favorite part was how Katara left out the "I love you" for him. Great!

Hee, I loved the Ozai made out of noodles thing too. He's multi-talented. I'm starting to love Aang even more this season. I mean he dances, he's artistic, and he's a bit of a flirt?

This was a great little oneshot, I especially liked the bit of tension between Hakoda and Katara that still resulted in a conversation about deep feelings.

I agree that any problems Katara may have had with her father should have been taken care of before, and not used up valuable time in the episode. "Maybe she would even sleep in her own bed tonight. Then again, maybe not. One step at a time." I found that line to be quite funny! It was a smooth ending to the story, and made me smile. =) Always watching, ~SnakeEyes
