You really got into Ash's & Ellen's heads & you portrayed them both brilliantly, which is particularly incredible considering they were minor-ish characters & didn't get as much screen time. Your conversations were true and real and I could picture what was going on. I absolutely love Ellen in this!! You wrote the chaos and violence of situation outstanding! It was awesome & I loved it & I thoroughly enjoyed this story!

I like the idea of Ellen being complicit in blowing up the Roadhouse - in order to stop it being used as a trap for unwitting hunters. And her thoughts when Lucy was dying about just being glad it wasn't Jo...heartbreakingly true to life I think. Good stuff! Glad you finished it!

irismay42 2007-09-30 ch 2,	abuseYou just ramped up the tension superbly in that chapter, right up until the doosie of a cliffhanger at the end! I loved how you gave all the faceless hunters who we only really saw as corpses (or not at all!) in AHBL1 faces and names - made it all a little bit more personal, rather than just thinking, Oh no, Ash died! or Oh thank god, Ellen's alive! Great stuff!

I'm a little curious why Ellen spilled water twice, though. To get a holy water-soaked bar towel? Could be useful, I suppose, in a bar full of demons. I can't get over how exciting this is. That Tarot card reading was perfect, even for people like me who don't know a lot about how to interpret the cards. I can't wait to see the conclusion.
