Wow... I have to admit when I read the summary I thought... "that's a bloody tall order that is! hope you can pull it off!" - and you did... so Kudos! It's going on the shortlist :P

You know personally, I don't like Akira (at least how FF writers interpret him)... mostly because i don't get why everyone thinks he must've been such an awesome guy when all you REALLY know about him is that he worked hard and died because of really crappy decision making on his part... but u know what... u made me like him...

Very, very nice. The last line was amazing. :) I love how Kenshin treats the letters that were never to him. It's very IC. He would feel the most regretful that Tomoe's happiness had been stolen away by him the first time when he killed Kiyosato, so him looking at the replies is more of a reminder to keep his vows than anything else.

I like the way the 2 are contrasted so well. It's difficult to imagine that Kenshin feels the same longing that Tomoe feels for Akira, but you've really connected the 2 well and brought it together into a coherent whole. The foreshadowing on the penultimate paragraph also gives the readers hope that Kenshin would finally receive the redemption he deserves and brings Kaoru into the picture so subtly, I'd almost blink and miss it. Wonderful job, I hope you continue writing!

I thought this was really good. It was well written, although it had a few typos. It's incredibly sad, but also so sweet. I liked the way yu started each part with the tucked into the folds part, but at the end it ended somewhat repetitively. Overall, I really liked this.

You might want to do a closer job proofreading. You misspelled Tomoe's surname in the summary (Yukishori vs. Yukishiro) and made a couple typos in the fic itself (dairy vs. diary, marry vs. merry.)

Having said that, this is beautiful. I love parallel style, and you used it very effectively. Well done.
