Ahh, indeed, hasn't there always been a certain edge of cruelty in how the games have it set that Naminé and Roxas and Axel and all of the others aren't quite real people?

This is a beautiful story. You truly have a way with words, don't you?

All the longing almost feels...real. Like I could reach out, grasp it, experience it -- the pain of all this yearning, all of these wishes and thoughts that Naminé feels.

Playing pretend always sounds like such a bittersweet type of game, don't you think?

I love this. It has such an otherworldly, almost ethereal feel to it, and yet the words are also true. It's an excellent portrayal of Namine.

ROZENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD FOR THE WIN. FOR THE WIN. And was that a No Doubt quote I saw in there somewhere?

Beautiful~.

Well, this was just amazing. I remember reading your work long ago when I was obsessed with (under the alias: Chocobo Obsessed) and now that I'm returned, I figured I'd like to see how all my favourite authors were doing and my, oh my! You are doing well, I see, at least in the writing arena.

This story captured me so much that I found myself reading it out loud, if you can believe that. I felt it was necessary for something so beautiful to be said in words in the world, rather than a voice in my head. I hope you continue to write! This was amazing and you're style is very unique too, but I love it.

Have a great day!

Wow, this goes so deep, deper then me. Perhaps even too deep for me.

it's also dark. Deep and dark, that equals beautiful in stories. In live I love being happy, yet I love the stories that make me said.

Like I said it was a bit to deep for me, I wish I was a better reader so I could enjoy it to the fullest extend.

Again I wish I could say more. But stories like this make me speechless, they me cry. And after they're finished there are no feelings left to describe, all of them were used to read the story.

I wish I could do poetry, to make art with words, So I could make a review that's a worthy tribute to the beauty of this story. Sadly I can't do poetry and my reviews won't express my apresiation of this story.

♥!
I was stumbling around fanfiction, thinking that I had to go back to fanfics that I'd read before and review them for once. So -- here I am! TA-DA, misheemonster, live in fanfiction-y flesh.

Umm, yes, back to your writing now. 8D;

..this was so much love!
And there's always something about how you write Namine, and it's reaally really wonderful. It's chilling, pretty, and at the same a time, told in this eerie, whimsical tone of voice. I love how you repeat word after word, it's really exciting.

You know how to evoke emotion when you write..!

And really, I wanted to choose a favorite line or blurb, but I started to just scroll, scroll, scroll and re-read, re-read, re-read.
AND I COULDN'T CHOOSE, DAMNIT. LOL. ♥

...So, I'll just leave now, and melt into a puddle of Namine loving mush, OH, and Zanisha loving mush.

P.S. lol, hints of naminekairi...? X3;

OKAY, I'll just melt into a mass-amount of goo now.

Everything about this is lovely--the style, the diction, the characterization (your Namine is PURE LOVE, I swear it) is all spot-on and hits every nail that you aim to hit. It's an absolute marvel.

Then, there are lines--ENTIRE PARAGRAPHS, ♥--that are just haunting in the most intimate of way.

It's the style, really. It's absolutely brilliant (and fitting, oh so fitting, for the subject matter; the way you handle it, too, is an ABSOLUTE GENIUS).

and i'll widdle in my puddle of goo now at every. single. marluxia. reference. my heart can not take anymore heartbreak.

...OH YES I CAN! OH, LOOK, I REMEMBERED CAPS! :D

Oh, you do write Marluxia well. Even with the small amount of screen-time he gets in this--I have to say, this is what sold me and IT IS NOT FOR MY MASS AMOUNT OF LOVE FOR THE PAIR--because it's absolutely, positvely haunting and amazing and the most gorgeous thing in ever. Seriously.

How you handle over-used concepts, too, is gorgeous. The sea, sky, earth in particular--you make it such a noncliche that it becomes brilliant. Seriously.

...I'll be qouting every. Single. Paragraph. By Monday, I swear.

[+ fav x a million and then some, ♥]

O_O Truly, what can I say after that? After reading this oneshot that I'm so sorry I didn't have the time to read right when you posted it. I can say A LOT. Gosh, I want to quote so much! Warning: long review up ahead!

"Her place is a place where you’d draw a line on paper and feel the stroke against your throat. Her place is to shape and scribble and dream another heart’s dream. And she’s alright with that.

Boys fighting for fake heroines and girls who don’t deserve to breathe — she’s alright with that, too. She’s fine, just fine."

"Sometimes, there’s talk of a princess and she stops and starts and strains like it’s her name being called."

Those lines caught my eye right off the bat. Right away, it's like you're Namine, because you seem to know her so well. Whenever you write, you become the character. And that's why everything you write makes sense. Because it's really what Namine feels and thinks. It's amazing.

"Hushed voices, like ghosts under ice."

"This is what comes from saving your victims before it’s their blood on the tiles with yours."

Those lines are so eerie and chilling. I love it...

"He reminds her with the blood of those thorns by his fingertips, blood of the eyes that won’t water when hers melt."

When I read that, I said 'Oh my gosh' and my mouth dropped. Brilliance!!

"You shouldn’t be dreaming at all. Especially not of them, that place, those shadow feelings. I’m telling you. I’m telling you and you’ve been told and you should know...

But I’ll forgive it."

"Here I am on the other side of the room, and your eyes still scream like I’m pulling you apart."

"You never wanted to be an artist, did you?

You’re not supposed to know the things people choose not to tell you."

"I don’t deserve to live, do I? the Replica had said to her one day.

And she’d said, she’d said, no more than I."

Some of these are such simple lines but they hold so much power and life in them!!

"She has their names now; Sky boy, Earth boy, Sea girl."

Reading this, I gasped. My heart came up in my throat. The way you say these things...gosh, it's amazing!

"She’s jealous for being a beat behind. But her being jealous must mean Kairi felt it first and it isn’t so bad that way. And they’re not that far off after all. They’re almost in sync now, so close. When they talk, all Naminé hears is the heartbeat through their held hands — mine, yours, ours — and she doesn’t want to let go.

Like clasping her own hand.

Like someone else to hold the pen.

Stories, stories, stories.

She wants to hold and touch and feel this girl — but more than anything? She wants to be her."

I get chills. I want to write like that, to be so involved in the character that you know them completely and can articulate so perfectly how they feel in such a fluent and beautiful way.

Seriously, you are my favorite author on and top ranked among my list of favorite authors that include the books I've read in real life. You are SO good. SO good at what you do it scares me. I wish I could have that. Have that way of writing that seems to flow through your veins and come so naturally. From the way you write, your very essence seems to speak "I am a writer." I hope you will always be one.

Your Naminé portrayal is really really amazing.

And those are like some awesome quotes right thar. :)

2007-10-06 . chapter 1
Whoa, I never even realized that Namine has no 'x' in her name. Xirika...lol Hrm...that's so interesting. It's a mystery that's going to bug me for the longest time (or until they address it in KH3 or whatever, if they even do decide to). O.o Maybe Kairi has two nobodys?!

I'd have to say that this was brilliant and I've never seen Namine written about in such depth and emotion to her character and her feelings and her situation. One of my fave lines was: "He says nothing of the way she (barely) breathes and the watercolour tears she’s forgotten how to cry." Oh my gosh, so heart-wrenching.

It's always such a breath of fresh air for me to read anything that you have written. I can't tell you how many times I've been in a bad mood and you've lifted me up through your genius writing. Keep up what you're doing, and keep finding inspiration. Even if I fall behind because I'm so busy, don't worry. I will always read your work no matter what. Your fics are the best I've ever read, for Kingdom Hearts or for anything else. That's how awesome of a writer you are. :)

Let me just, um. Simmer down first and just...oh my God. Zanisha Zanisha Zanisha. ♥

I love j-just. Everything. It's feverish and crazy and baroque and you can hear the harpsichord just going out and out and...Nami-chan. ;_;

FAVORITE PARTS GET COPYPASTED NOW. YES OKAY? YES.

"His thorned-stem touch strokes her hair, strokes her face, strokes her closed, tight eyes.

Blood is compulsory — remember?

And no one has to know. No one knows how much power words have.

That’s right, just words, he laughs.

Here I am on the other side of the room, and your eyes still scream like I’m pulling you apart."

"No more of that in the winding castle’s tower room.

He finally comes back one day, and it’s only so he can shut the music and she can shut her eyes. Stone-and-paper silent. Tile-and-marble, hallowed halls. The ink spills from his lips. His voice is all echoes, hands against a marble frame.

You never wanted to be an artist, did you?"

"There was one day when she woke up. And another, and again. And one-by-one-at-a-time, she wasn’t the only one.

Puppets here, there, everywhere.

A voice like fire dancing high — we’re all mad here and don’t you know it. Where’s Luxord and his tea kettle when you need the rush?"

"She wonders why her name has no x.

Kairi plus x.

Xirika? Rikaxi?

Nothing fits, and that’s why."

And more, oh God, more more more. And I can't believe you said I didn't owe you a thing for this. MAKE A REQUEST OF ME NOW, DEAR WOMAN. NAO. >(
