I enjoyed this story immensely. You wrote Cadfael very much in character, and the voices were good. Tsk-despite knowing that people would probably get hurt, I'd like to see Prior Robert finding himself in the middle of a mess like that, and see how well he'd handle it. I'm sure he'd be *screaming* for Cadfael then... Well done. I look forward to reading more of your work. -Catherine

Very nice. I think you really captured Cadfael's personality and spirit, and the friendship between him and Hugh. Not to mention pacing and writing style.

i just finished watching one of the cadfael films, so i thought i'd search out some fanfiction. and i'm so glad i found this one! i love both the books and the movies, and i think your story does a good job of capturing the spirit of the characters. it's also intriguing and action-packed, with suspense and romance and heroics. just what it should be. excellent!
