Honestly, before I read your author's note, I had my whole "what a brilliant way to end the story!" review all planned out. Truly, though, your last line was great. This has been such a fun journey. | Chelles 2007-11-06 ch 7, | abuseAw, so sweet! Ok, time for me to confess: I, too, was a complete geek in college. I lived in my school's honors dorm for two years, and we definitely sat around in the common room playing board games more than once. A friend who wasn't in the honors college always says that we went to different schools. :-) I love the way Sara sat and tried to memorize every moment of dinner with her family, too. I've done that, and wound up with some pretty awesome memories. Now, you know I love and adore everything about your writing, but I do have one nitpick: in the last chapter, you had the school principal give Sara champagne to celebrate Lexie's engagement. While I'm all for the celebration, I don't think that an educator would ever give a student (or anyone underage) alcohol. We could lose our jobs over that! I know, I know, creative license...I'll let it go. ;-) Thanks for another great chapter - I can't wait to see this holiday vacation! |
