Lovelovelove the moment when Zuko thanks Kiwa after she redirects the guards. Also love Toph and the "medicine" and the whole "act blind!" bit. And Aang saving the town.

I love the show, but I also love your AU; the fact that you've come up with so many things that have wound up in the show is not a detriment to any of it. In fact, I'd say it's a good measure of how accurate your portrayal of the avatar world is! You really immersed yourself in the characters and wound up with a wonderful story. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!!

And if you ever need to get a hold of me, I'm dwelian on livejournal and deviantart and my contact info is on those sites.

my heart just won't quit jumping around after this bit. I think I just saw (read) Zuko finding his determination to change the future of the fire nation. For the sake of his people. AND IT IS SO EMO AND TEARBENDING and yet completely STOIC and CLASSIC ZUKO. (sorry for the caps, but I mean it). AWESOME chapter.

I know it was a few chapters ago, but Zuko breaking and yelling at aang "you cant trust me!" has been stuck in my head. The raw emotion of that scene was INTENSE.

It's interesting how much of the show you have predicted. While I enjoyed the third season a lot one of the things I like the most about 'your version' is that it isn't rushed. When comparing season 1 and 3 I liked the plot of 3 more, but many times I got to the end of an episode and thought "well they could have developed that better" but I don't get that from your story. Unlike the real season 3 you have done a wonderful job of giving all the characters their own developments and haven't fallen into the dreaded trap of a lot of fanfiction known as 'shipping' (which often takes the focus away from some characters).

I really like Zuko and Momo's journey and how both Zuko and Aang are proving themselves to the Fire Nation in different ways, Aang through large gestures like saving the town and Zuko from small ones like remembering the girl's name and his forgiveness of the people who tried to execute him. Both are fitting for their characters since Aang is showing he cares about the Fire Nation and Zuko is showing he cares about the people, not his title. Very well written.

My only real complaint for this 'Book' in general is that it would be nice to have all the chapters as one story, though I do think I'm beginning to understand why you've formatted it this way.

D'aw I love this episode! Although I wasn't here for the actual writing-in-progress part of your works so far, I completely understand your situation at this time. I started planning and writing my own Avatar fanfiction (not on FFN) about two months before the third season started, and my plans all went out the window at the start of the season.

About Zuko and Kiwa. I take it the saying "What goes around, comes around" applies here? It was very encouraging and touching to read about the interaction between these two. I was especially moved by your description of Kiwa's joy that she had been treated so respectfully by Zuko, and that she still thinks of him as the prince of the Fire Nation, despite how Ozai has tried to tarnish Zuko's name. The joys that Zuko's newfound humility bring to other people! It is wonderful to read about these small things that he does for others without even realizing their significance himself.

Aang... is Aang. You wrote him to be so true to his character, as you similarly did for everyone else here. I don't think the factory idea is a rip-off at all. If anything, I think that the way in which you had the gAang approach this new problem was completely original; everyone had a significant role to play throughout the course of the episode, and they all worked toward a common goal, although for different motives in some of them (*coughsokkacough*). The brief exchange between Aang and Kento at the end was also very touching, and uplifting! This is an extremely well-written and heartwarming episode. I absolutely love it. *gives Wren a virtual golden pedestal*

And Momo is a handy little creature!

All right, all right; in answer to your plea I'll leave a review for this chapter. It was kind of slow, but I think it sets a good mood for character development, especially with the group.

'Take away our enjoyment of the third season'? Don't be silly! Just because some of us like your stories better than canon doesn't mean we actually like the show itself any less than we did to begin with.
To use a very Iroh-ish analogy, a person may enjoy both ginseng and jasmine tea, while still preferring one over the other. Do you see what I'm getting at? A preference for the one does not in any way diminish the enjoyment of the other.
I hope you continue to write (I don't know how far you've gotten so far because I'm reading these stories in order) and don't let silly things like a fear of taking away others' enjoyment of the show stop you. You rock!

That was heartbreaking, and hopeful at the same time. Always knew Zuko had a weakness for children.

I really liked this one again. Kiwa and Momo's moments with Zuko were very touching, and so was Aang's moment breaking down the factory and then talking to Kento. Awesome.

Zuko's moment there with the girl was heartrendingly beautiful and touching. I loved it. :)

Even though I know you've already written it all, I just wanted to let you know that the hints and clues in this series have been great. And that I have squeed every time I see mention of Aang and Toph or Zuko and Katara together ^_^.

Wow. I love how you're bringing back Katara's necklace into it. I also like the reappearance of the mask. Can't wait to see what you do with it!

This was really neat. I liked the scene with Zuko and the little girl in the marketplace.
