The flirtation between River and Jayne had all manner of sizzle! ;-) All six were in character, and your use of language was excellent. I'm a big fan of the traditional canon pairings, plus Rayne, so this was a real pleasure to read. Got to love a happy ending! I'm adding this to my favorites. |

They're completely legitimate in their actions, reactions and voices. Completely loyal to their characters and yet given enough leeway to act in the way you (and we?) want them to. I also loved your characterization of Mal--the right amounts of indignation and sweetness (toward Inara). Very nice. Congrats! There was a little bit of cofusion for me in the section they go chasing after the woman, but that could be because my friends were watching a noisy Sean Connery movie in the background. I'm looking forward to more stories of this sort in the future, seeing as you know exactly what you're doing and how to pull it off just right. |
