Nicely written. I like the idea that Snape had figured it anyway.

That was Dumbledore not even trying to hide his duplicity. (Why bother? Snape must know what a liar the old man is by now.) A few memories earlier, Dumbledore was saying that he could safely trust his secrets to "a boy ... who has a direct connection into Voldemort's mind" because "Voldemort fears that connection ... Lord Voldemort's soul, maimed as it is, cannot bear close contact with a soul like Harry's..."

Very well written. I think you captured Severus' point of view very well.

Great "missing scene". I especially like:

“Severus, Severus,” Albus said. “I trust Harry.

which mirrors Albus telling Harry so many times that he trusts Severus!

This was a very good rendition of the chapter. I actually like this better than the one that's in the book. Then again, as you can tell by my pen name, I'm a bit biased when it comes to this issue. Anyway, great job.
