I - can't - believe that you nearly made me cry... so not me! (I suppose that listening to 'Into the West' didn't really help either...) Wow... what can I say? ONce again, I'm nearly at that crying stage... just the last few lines got me there. Anyway, certainly a very interesting idea for a fic (glad they didn't use it in the movie though) and it's always great to read fics told from an outsider's perspective. I love the idea of his being nicknamed Cat, it jsut really suits him. It was so sad, but so beautiful that he died thinking about Satine, most likely about how he was going to meet up with her again, cos of the whole "I will love you, 'til my dying day" thing, which of course you knew about. Anyway, absolutely wonderful!

aww that was so beautiful! I loved howyou named Christian cat beacause cat's are cute and so is he... erm anyways... it was very fighting that he said come what may satine as his final words because that was his dying day and as the song goes "till my dying day"

*sob* Not only was this great, well written etc, but I loved the way you used the idea of Christian dying in WW1, because I remember reading about that in the book on the movie and thinking 'that would be an interesting fic' so I'm glad to see someone did it, and did it so well! *claps*

Wow, Princess. This was awesome. I absolutely loved it! I didn't know that the movie was supposed to start with him dying like that; they couldn't have done it any better than this. I'm too struck by this story to pick out what I liked best. I loved this, what more can I say?
