Cheshire 2009-01-18 . chapter 10 This is such an original idea. I have read a few stories where Merope manages to raise Tom on her own, but not one where Tom's father raises him. It is... hum... somewhat interesting to see that young Tom is still the devious, power-seeking little boy he was in the orphanage, though I do like that he is not as... aggressive, so to speak. I hope to hear more of Morfin Gaunt's daughter- or I think it is his daughter. Mayhap Tom will meet his cousin at Hogwarts, once Thomas Riddle Senior is persuaded to let Tom go. |
insaneartist 2008-07-29 . chapter 10Out of all the fan fictions I have ever read, this one is definitely my favorite. I can't wait to see how this one ends and how Tom could change the wizarding world for the better. |
a 2008-07-07 . chapter 10 I can't wait to see how this AU ends. I have often read stories where Harry goes back in time and becomes a father to tom...or ones where Tom comes out from the diary and has a touch of humanity. but i have never read a story where He is actually raised by his birth father. Thanks so much for turing this idea into a story. |
Ilaaris 2008-07-04 . chapter 10This is a great story. Please update soon. |
Angelfirenze 2008-04-26 . chapter 10That twit sounds like Vernon Dursley. They would have gotten along famously, I think. I can't wait until you update this. I'm so curious as to what'll happen next! |
Angelfirenze 2008-04-26 . chapter 9Oh, that was awesome. I'm so happy for him. I'm actually smiling for Tom Riddle! *astonished* |
Angelfirenze 2008-04-26 . chapter 8There are no words. At least he has Marny, who certainly does love him. And the cook, as well. |
Angelfirenze 2008-04-26 . chapter 7Wow, Tom Sr. is a dirtbag. At least his father seemed to treat people more kindly by the looks of it. If only his son had followed something of his example, then perhaps things might have turned out better.
Ah, right. You have mixed up the homophones 'then' and 'than' on at least two occasions, starting with your notes. They sound very similar and are easy to confuse. |
Angelfirenze 2008-04-26 . chapter 6Oh, well, that certainly answers that. In a way. Those two poor young women. I'm glad they got away. I'm definitely not sorry that Morfin's dead, I have to say. |
Angelfirenze 2008-04-26 . chapter 5Dude. Did Tom just meet Morfin? Oh wow. And was some poor girl unlucky enough to cross his path and wind up bearing him a daughter? Oh, I hope not. *bites lip and continues* |
Angelfirenze 2008-04-26 . chapter 4Developments of a curious nature! It seems that Tom isn't alone in being magical in that household. I wonder if his father's family has any real idea... |
Angelfirenze 2008-04-26 . chapter 3Oh, how you've managed to make me empathetic of Little Tom! I truly look forward to seeing what you'll make of him and how his family will react to his invitation to Hogwarts. |
Angelfirenze 2008-04-26 . chapter 2I suppose this was written before the release of HBP showed us that Tom was quite the malevolent little monster even before he left the orphanage. No matter at all, I'm curious as to what sort of personality that will emerge in this new, seemingly more innocent Little Tom. |
Angelfirenze 2008-04-26 . chapter 1Wow. There's actually a lot of imagery and description in such a small package. Very emotive and well versed. I can feel it all quite clearly. Fantastic job. |
Hahukum Konn 2008-03-08 . chapter 10I like this :) The sequence of vignettes conveys a natural sense of time progression so the fic doesn't feel rushed. I look forward to Ravenclaw!Tom Riddle, unless you plan to make him a Slytherin in which case he'll be Slytherin!Tom Riddle. :D
(As a Ravenclaw myself, though, I would love to see the heights Tom's intelligence would scale were he surrounded by people who appreciated knowledge for its own sake. :) ) |
