I don't really consider myself an AllanMarian shipper, but this was a really sweet story.

You deserve a lot more reviews than you're getting :). The Allan/Marian shipper in me woke up after seeing 2x07, so I needed to read a fic with them in it. You can't imagine how delighted I was at finding yours!

It's so well-written, true to the language and manners of the day; well-plotted, plausible, building from that little exchange of "nice legs!" from season 1 (Which episode was it though? I can't remember); and best of all, very true to character. You captured both Marian and Allan very well: she, strong, intelligent, rebellious, yet still has the chastity and class of women of her upbringing; and he, opportunistic, not forceful, and, really, what I see as a very strong Allan character: his indifference to insults. I find that amazing about him.

I love this idea of a secret history between them too. If only Robin and Guy knew!
