labsquint 2007-10-09 ch 1,	abuseI loved the way you described Booth's experience with the team building exercises. I could totally see each one happening as described; I especially liked the "noodle arms" moniker on Zach. Not nice maybe, but accurate and you can see Booth getting ticked with feeling forced to do this exercise in the first place. And it was just laugh out loud funny. I would have actually burst out laughing if I was actually there. The way Michael Rainbow was trying to describe Angela as the snowdrop and encouraging everyone to "Breathe in her essence everyone. Smell Angela. Smell her." was simply hilarious. Cam's reaction to the whole charade, Cam being the straight shooter that she is, was totally in line with her character. As was everyone else's. Booth reaction to the 'sniffing' was absolutely great. This section in particular was right on target: Booth narrowed his eyes and let his hand drift to his hip where his service weapon was secured. “If you don’t back off, I’ll shoot you.” Booth threatened. And I just wanted to smack the instructor: “Come my flowers. Come close and let me take in all your essences. I want to feel your strength, your integrity, your inner being.” Ack, gag. Smack, smack, smack. There, now I feel better. I really liked the fact that the team does bond in the end, and even if it was how the instructor really wanted it to go (not that they knew it), they bond in their own way in a place where they are comfortable. Mission accomplished, from all sides. You know, I take my hat off to you for your amazing ability to write humour. I just can't do it like that. Drama or angst or science, that I can do. I just can't write this kind of material like you can that, as least for me, has me laughing out loud while reading it. Kudos to you; I greatly admire this ability in you! Good luck in the challenge -- this is an excellent entry!

The whole "be a flower, smell a the flower" thing was so ridicules that I wanted to punch the guy, but all I could do was laugh with my co-workers. Horrible experience! I can so see this on the show, it would be so fun to see a guy named Michael Rainbow trying to "smell" Booth's flower. A very good motive for shooting!
