I don't agree with the base of this poem - the reason it was written. But you do have very good skills with poetry. I send you kudos on that. :)

Though I do not much care for the story/feelings behind the poem, I must praise you on your poetry skills! I really like how you wrote it!

This story begs for a continuance. Not necessarily getting back together. But they both need to find a way to move on with their lives.
