Excellent story. It's like the game was flashing before my very eyes when I was reading this.

It's very romantic. It almost made me want to cry when they were they were tellin each other that they can't live without the other.

I love it! It's well written, and we get a glimpse of how the two feels throughout the game, how they both realized that one couldn't live without the other. XD

I laughed at this one. This is a great read.

Oh Kit, I can hardly tell you how much I loved this story. Loved! I’m so glad I waited to be through the game to read it, as it just made the whole thing that much better to have something lovely to read after the end credit finished rolling. I’m going to attempt coherence for a moment now...

First of all, the bit about Georg at the beginning was a really great little detail. The banter between the Prince and Lyon was well done. I also think you did a really fine job of filling out the Prince’s character and making it believable, which is tricky with silent protagonists. The only thing resembling a critique I can offer is to just be careful about characters making long speeches. I’m inclined to break them up a bit more– add gestures, pauses, that sort of thing. I know from past experience how tricky it is to deal with such an emotional scene as this, though, and it was pretty gutsy to do it and it was done really well.

Anyway, I’ve gotta say again, that I really loved this story. When I saw that last scene of the game where they come out in their uniforms, their manner, the way they looked– no scratch that– gazed at each other, made it seem very much to me that they’d reached an understanding. Your fic fits with that perfectly. Love it.

But seriously, this is perhaps the best Prince/Lyon fic I've read yet, and I've been looking for them since I beat that game when it first came out. The depths of Lyon's and the Prince's characters are very impressive, and the building up to the climax was excellently executed and very, very fitting.
This fic definitely serves to tie up all the loose ends created in the game, which if I had any criticism of, is that it didn't play enough on the interpersonal relationships of the characters enough. All in all, a job very well done. Hope you keep at it.

I really like the emotional components of your language- you paint a very vivid image of what the two characters are feeling at any given moment. It's very recognizeable- I kept feeling "Oh, yeah, I know that feeling" which is something I don't see all that often even in professional writing.

The best part of it is that it helps you build that really fuzzy, expectant feeling where you know that the two will confess to each other and kiss- I really need that kiss- yet you still feel a growing anticipation at how and when it's going to happen, and the words that are going to be used. It's a wonderful ride, and you do very well with this, drawing it out until it's just right. I really enjoyed it.

Woo! You finally posted it. I noticed you made a few changes. I kinda miss the part about Lyon reading romance stories, but I guess this is more cannon. Definitely very cute. I told you people would like it. Keep at it, and let me know when you come up with new stuff. ;)

Rawr, goody. I haven't finished the game yet (I'm probably 3/4 of the way by now) so I have no idea what happens in the end (somewhat). I definitely liked this. Some home truths (nobles marrying nobles), mixed with hope, longing but acceptance for Lyon. Slips of the tongue for Frey (Freyjadour was such an evil name to type out when I first started...), exasperation, nerves... heh, why am I doing this... Oh well. Definitely thumbs up. When I was playing through the appropriate parts of the game, Frey was definitely more... aloof? during some of the scenes mentioned so I couldn't pick up on romantics. Roy, on the other hand... *Twitches* Blah, I digress. Very nicely done, should inspire me to get my pen to paper for the first time in a month...
