| SilvaGirl 2008-08-13 ch 27, | abuseHow sweet. This story was so depressing. I'm working up to the one about Sev, though, so it'll all be worth it. (Is it obvious I'm a Sev fan?) |
| infinity 2008-06-07 ch 27, anon. | abuseI simply loved your story. The plot, the characterizations,... Usually I don't like Oc, but the ones you created were brilliant. Liz has a great persona.I hope you write some more stories in this universe... Great job!! |
| excessivelyperky 2008-06-05 ch 27, | abuseYay! (throws confetti and virtual chocolate roses in your direction). This story was well and truly put together, and showed wonderful progress in Draco's pilgrimage (first book I ever read out of the adult dept in the library was the Bunyan one. I'd heard it mentioned in LITTLE WOMEN and it sounded Nifty). But Lucius intends to flirt his way out of the Slough of Despond. Well, hey, whatever works... |
| wynnleaf 2008-06-02 ch 27, | abuseVery enjoyable story. I love the way you tied up many threads, but left others open for others stories to come. I'll be looking forward to more in this universe. |
| CelticHeiressFiona 2008-05-31 ch 27, | abuseOh that is so awesome!! I love it! Haha. The bachelor party is my favorite scene this chapter. They accomplished the exact purpose of a bachelor party which is to embarass Draco beyond belief and get smashingly drunk doing so. I like Cred aka Collin's little cameo. I'm glad he got himself cleaned up and everything. Wo Lucius and Dr. Patil! Teehee. Catcalls all around. =) Congrats on an awesome chapter again and an even more amazing fic!! |
| Myene 2008-05-31 ch 27, | abuseAw...what a sweet ending! "Father Cavanaugh would have made a wonderful Death Eater. Instead of administering Crucios and Imperius curses, he would have used the collected writings of Marcus Aurelius and St. Augustine to torture unsuspecting souls. Dante’s Inferno would be used as the Catholic equivalent of the Aveda Kedavra." *snicker* ah yea, the powers of catholic guilt. Will Draco ever find out what happend to Goyle? Is this story just a few months ahead for Forgiveness, or a few years? (trying to get the tiem liens trate. I'm a time line sort of person) |
| yume111 2008-05-30 ch 27, | abuseI truly enjoyed the last chapter, as I loved and enjoyed the entire story. I can see why you would end it at this point, but that doesn´t mean I would want you to... Bachelor night was very funny and interesting. Drunken Harry singing into a microphone and doing a stage dive, that´s hilarious. All of drunken Harry was hilarious. I can just see him. Too bad Draco was to drunk to really appreciate it. Having them drunk, also really brought out their different characters very nicely. I loved the bit about Lucius as well. It makes me look to whatever you are planning with him. His POV is really fun to read, his confusion over this new world and how he is trying to fit without changing more than he can help. Padma did surprise me. Didn´t think she´d be that straightforward. Good girl. So, a very nice ending, and a hint to more... Last not least, thank you for this wonderful story. It really is one of my favorites, and I won´t have read it for the last time. Thank you! |
| Mother of Tears 2008-05-30 ch 27, | abuseThis is the final chapter? Aw... I love all your characters. I want to find out if Liz has a girl, and if Lucius takes a turn for the better. I love Father Ian too. Perhaps you can do a sequel! I look forward to reading it if you do. In the meantime, I still have the next installment of "Forgiveness" to look forward to. |
| firstimewriter 2008-05-29 ch 27, anon. | abuseSad to see this story end, but I like that Draco and Liz seem to have a "happy ending." Was Draco hurt that his mother didn't show up for his wedding, or did he figure that she wouldn't? And lastly, will Draco be making an appearance in Forgiveness? I'd like to find out if Liz has a baby girl and what the baby's name will be. Look forward to Lucius's story. (Somehow I don't think we've seen the last of Narcissa...I think she and Lucius are drawn to each other like a moth to a flame. Not too good for the welfare of the moth or the flame.) |
| Hamm On Wry 2008-05-29 ch 27, | abuseA great ending for a superb story! Much better than my Draco story; mine died from lack of a decent ending... I'm looking forward to your Lucius story... and the rest of Forgiveness. |
| excessivelyperky 2008-05-12 ch 26, | abuseOh, _excellent_! Narcissa and Lucius are the fun but toxic kind of couple; both of them need _long_ vacations from each other. Toby was right and Liz was wrong--good on Liz for acknowledging it. And you know, I think she's finally beginning to realize that living well is the best revenge. She'll learn about that from Draco, too . Still want to watch Lucius vs. the priest, mind you...especially when Lucius finds out that the Cavanaughs knew Snape when he was young. |
| meidlingermaderl 2008-05-12 ch 26, anon. | abusethank you for the update i liked the way lucius began to care for Liz and the way you described his thinking. (therefore i had the re-read your story with him one more time to understand his character better) at the end i was happy that finally a writer was ending the stupid house-table tradition - that i found always really annoying - but thougt that not beeing in a english school system maybe was hindering me to understand the usefulness of it. but the more i think about it - and there is no story where anybody is really changing that stupid house-system - the more i find it really prejudice-producing. i never wanted to be with older students when i was in school. so thank you for that. for the rest i am really curious about the last chapter. (and hope there is a little snape in it. ;-) have a nice weekend |
| wynnleaf 2008-05-10 ch 26, | abuseI guess Lucius will take awhile to get over Narcissa. I liked Liz's letter to Toby. You know, I realize there's just a little left of this story, but I like all of your characters so much you could go on and on. |
| CelticHeiressFiona 2008-05-10 ch 26, | abuseAwesome chapter!! I love it. Lucius is so awesome. It may not have been the best way to go about things, but his little part of the speech worked didn't it? =) It was terrific! I can hardly wait for the next one! =) |
| yume111 2008-05-09 ch 26, | abuseLucius and Liz are quite the pairing, I just love those two together. There isn´t much to enjoy about the relating of a rape, but I did like the way you did Lucius, obviously changed but not so much after all. I can quite picture him, completely at a loss as to why Liz would be bothered by his threats to the students, when they would work so beautifully to ensure the endangered kids´ safety. Not that he actually cares about the why, I suppose. It´s funny and sad. Draco trying to keep his sanity with the set of parents he has been saddled with, between resigned acceptance and exasperation is both funny and endearing somehow. Poor guy. I quite liked the scene between Liz and Draco concerning Toby. Both of them have come a long way, but their issues aren´t completely resolved. Draco, apart from in fact seeing things the way Toby did feels, I´m assuming, sort of threatened by Liz´s reaction, maybe afraid that she hadn´t truly forgiven who he was before. He does sound a little upset. And Liz, well she says it all in her letter. I quite admire her for what she writes to Toby. I completely agree with what Draco says, about expectations making a path to walk on through a child´s (or any person´s, for that matter) life, a very insightful thing to say. Lucius and Narcissa together is just unpleasant and painful. Good going at Hogwarts, about time they loosened that House system a little. It has done so much damage. I do hope they´ll keep it up. And Toby has quite grown up, and finally at home there. I think that Liz is right to trust him, not only because she should. He´ll live up to it. Last not least: I can´t believe this is almost over. I´ll really really miss this story. Thank you so much! |
