I like how the title of this fic kind of tells the whole story... if you know German. I don't, so I had to look the word up, and when I did I got a nice little grin out of it.

At this risk of Starscream hunting me down and destroying most of Michigan in the process, I have to confess that I found this story hilarious. I love how Starscream's contempt for Megatron is almost the first thing to come online: a contempt which of course comes hand in hand with obsessive preoccupation (as further evidenced by the fact that Megatron was the name he shouted most the night before).

The reference to Dreadmoon is nice; it is a good tie-in to your other fic, "The Beating of Leaden-Feathered Wings." I love it when writers apply certain continuities of affection across stories: it is helpful for keeping track of who likes whom (and it nicely reinforces your pairings preferences).

The best part of this story is how you take some very traditional tropes of hangover-fic and turn them over on their head. Partially this is done through simple translation: a Cybertronian hangover is simply not the same thing as a human one. But also filtering it through Starscream's particular brand of frustration and constantly sublimated fury helps to localize it and make it specific. The point is not "Decepticons can have hangovers, tee hee" but "This is Starscream's hangover, see how he copes."

And of course, he comes off as coping quite well, all things considered. That Tidearrow is obviously a twerp and needed to die.

Okay... I'm not sure whether to laugh or be appalled. Probably both? Let this stand as a reason of why not to get overcharged. :)
