 Sakura123 2008-05-12 . chapter 3I've read something of yours, haven't I?
...
(Laughs): Your wrote "Perfectly Normal"! Another favorite of mine.

At first I thought would be reading some Fanfiction that would never be completed (it didn't harbor the "Complete" but a majority of the stories on FanFiction Net don't, especially the elder ones), but to my surprise I discovered it was completed -- by the time I read the end of the third chapter.
Overall, I loved the storyline; Its the first one I've read where both characters aren't the same age, or even marginally in born ONE year ahead or behind each other. (Was this idea was inspired by "Howl's Moving Castle"?) The characterizations of Reed and Sue were simply amazing. I loved what she told him at the end of the first chapter. Priceless!
I love how the story was told from several points of view (in Third and 1st person); I was a little tripped up by the Second chapter before I realized it was a flashback chapter. Sue's POV in the final chapter was so compelling, I didn't want it to end. The ending was bittersweet, but Sue was making a point - one that would hopefully shake Reed out his "stagnant" state of mind.
I haven't read CIVIL WAR yet, but I've read enough Summaries and they were compelling enough that I wish my Library carried these books, or that I had a budget to buy the entire trilogy.
Reed was portrayed as a "saint" in the movieverse carnation of F4? Hmm... I never thought of him that way, especially with the way Sue behaved around him in the 1st film (despite the reason being his 'non-committal-ness' among other romantic conundrums). Always thought there was more to it, him, than what was shown. If only because my brain inserted Earth 610 and 1610 elements into how I perceived him (Shrugs).
Overall, I enjoyed reading this.
Adios!

I am telling no lies here, but that might just be the most amazing one-shot I have ever read. Seriously. That was just amazing. Fantastic, even. I want a baby Reed! He's so adorable! And I love how he knew that it would be a girl and that she'd grow up to do great things, and his little rant about scientific things was just precious! |
