dark precipice 2008-06-21 . chapter 3Very interesting! Very sweet! Very good!
Keep writing! ;) |
Kirihana 2007-12-14 . chapter 3Still not a Maiko fan but I have to say that I love your characterization of Mai. Too often she is passed over as the boring one or the "Goth", and reading these pieces has been like a breath of fresh air for the character. That's right, I'm a Zutarian who *doesn't* hate Mai. Better yet, I don't hate your work. Keep it up! |
Coco-Minu 2007-11-12 . chapter 1Maiko is emo love, and I love it to bits. Mailu? I haven't heard of that one yet. What does it stand for...? Other than this, nice job. |
n1t3sama 2007-10-14 . chapter 1AH. So artistically handled! I think this fic is perfect as it is. It really captures the moment where Mai sees the flower, like a fleetingly perfect description of something sad. Great job! |
tellu 2007-10-12 . chapter 1 This is very interesting. And Mai's definitely the type of person who would catch something subtle like that.
YES, THIS SHOULD DEFINITELY BE MADE A SERIES. |
words without 2007-10-12 . chapter 1I'm not a fan of the paring (and honestly Mai isn't a character I love all that much), but I did like your writing style quite a bit. You handled Azula, with all her little hidden cruelties, very well, and I liked seeing the dynamics between the two girls. I always did wonder why someone like Mai would let Azula boss her around, especially when she seems so unconcerned with any of the Azula's rantings.
Also, the line "...she knew something Mai did not--should have known--will know--won’t like." caught my attention...very clever way of wording it. |
Kirihana 2007-10-12 . chapter 1I rather strongly dislike Maiko (for the most part), and yet I rather enjoyed this. Yes, I definitely think you should do a series. I won't pester you with silly requests on which one you should do next, though. Keep up the excellent work! |
Wren Sharpbeak 2007-10-12 . chapter 1That was really beautiful, and the sort of thing that, had the shows creators had simply bothered to give this much, would make the Zuko/Mai relationship much more rewarding to watch.
I'm not aginst the 'Maiko' pairing (not against any pairing really, i honestly could care less about who ends up with who), but the way this one has been presented in canon leaves SO much to be desired. It's almost as though they don't -want- fans to enjoy the hook-up between those two.
So this little one-shot is a very nice introspective. If only the show's creators had been so considerate. |
