That was many things, from creepy, amazing, and well-written.

...I was strangely touched by Orochimaru's reaction toward Kimmimaro's death (ordering Kabuto to beg forgiveness from Kimmimaro's corpse, cradling Kimmimaro's head, etc.). It almost made me forget what a creepy bastard Orochi was (sorry Orochi fans, but he SCARES me).
And then you wrote that part about him eating Kimmimaro's organs, which really, really disturbed me. Is this what you call muted horror? Wow.
I really liked Part 1 and Part 3 of this. The whole thing about the beliefs of Kimmimaro's clan was a nice touch. I've always wondered what the significane of Kimmimaro's facial markings were; your version of interpretation was very interesting. Oh, and having Konoha nin tamper with poor Kimmi's body seems very realistic.
My favourite lines (in no particular order):
1. "...turning the cadaver from a piece of ruined meat into something whole, something human, with a soul and heart and a purpose, again."
2."...for the silence to be broken only by the wind blowing through the hollow, empty spaces of the bone-trees, a sound no human lip could produce filling and cutting through the air like a funeral dirge, haunting and uplifting all at the same time."
3."I trusted the words of this whoreson and his clan as far as they revolved around my own -- hand me what we have taken of him so that we may get this over with."
