Wow.. he really did love her. Still do, maybe. That was so sad...

omg, I wanna go and cry now *schniff*. That was so sad. But I lurved it so much. You are such an awesome writer (again, I wanna go cry for my lack of finishing any fanfics) It was short, but the way you wrote it, it was the perfect lenght. Like I said, I absolutely lurved it! .

Not as good as some, but this definitely rises above most Everworld fanfics. David is quite in character, and that's good, except the fact that he cries so easily(?). But then he also peed in his pants when he first met Loki, so I guess that's all right...

My interpretation about this part:

She'd stood over me and smiled. Smiled because I was in pain. Smiling because she knew that I'd still hurt even after the pain faded. Smiling because I was bleeding in places that wouldn't be tended to later if we survived, and I'd never say anything about.

is that either Senna's enchantment hasn't worn off yet, (pretty unlikely since Christopher said in the scene where April killed Senna that her hold over him switched off like a light bulb, or something like that), or that David still loves Senna. I opt for the latter, and believe it to be true in the original series as well.

My favourite part is this:

Smiling because I was bleeding in places that wouldn't be tended to later if we survived, and I'd never say anything about. And smiling because through all that, even though I would have gone straight for her throat if I'd had the strength to stand, I still loved her. I still love her.

It's very full of feeling. Also kinda angsty. :)

All in all, a most interesting read.
