SA-X eh? My theory is that by absorbing the X, they were able to conglomerate and reform, or perhaps her body had too much in it and purged it in the only way it could. In any case it's an interesting plot twist. I thought that it was gonna be a helpful Samus clone, like how the fission metroids reproduced in Metroid Prime 1.

If you wouldnt mind, could you give me a brief background on the series? Like what is the X, and what powers metroids have? Because while I love Metroid Prime 2, and Hunters for the DS, I really dont know anything beyond that. If you can that would be great. If not, still, awesome chapter and I cant wait to read more.

I am glad to see this story has not been abandoned to sit there unfinished for all of eternity. Wow, all the main characters seem to be dying. Of course, that tends to happen when malevolent, all consuming parasites are running amok.
