Wow. Just wow. That was amazing. I didn't like it as much as Of Music (or how I'm liking it so far). But it's so real. I did like that. Life doesn't end with rainbow colors and happy people. Your ending confused me, however. Who was buried? Who was the boy at the end? Was that another Death Note he had?

I feel so depressed now. You... you put me in the place of L, of Lawliet, of Light too. And now they're all broken and dead, it makes me feel that way. You have an amazing way of doing that. I don't think I've ever read a story where I've been able to step inside the characters as I stepped inside those two. I've never read a story that had me so much into it that my mood reflected the mood of the story, or, more specifically, the individual characters. It always seemed like I was feeling just as they did while reading. I think understand what you mean by step lightly now.

I'm hoping Of Music doesn't end as dark as this! I much prefer L and Light as a yaoi couple, but this was a very interesting deviation from my normal preference. It took me a while to get into it, with people dying right and left, or perhaps without the yaoi I wanted, but I did get into it. Wrapped up so badly it wasn't even funny, and yet I'm so grateful. Thank you for writing, for giving me such a wonderful time.

Ok, so here's a proper review this time. This story is ridiculously intense, especially after the turning point of Watari's death. I love how you include the elements of the outside world, and show just how the actions of just two people can drastically change a society. Because really, power is defined by how many lives one can have in his or her hands. Even money comes to nothing when the animal instinct for survival kicks in. That point was probably my favorite in the story, because it made their little cat and mouse game all the more consequential, all the more real, and all the more epic. Also, the way Mello, Matt and Near actually had to come to work with and save L is something I've never seen before, and made for some really interesting interactions.

I wish I could beg for a sequel, but you seem to have wrapped matters up so nicely that a sequel is not even possible, let alone necessary. I guess I'll just have to settle for reading more of your stories (which really won't be settling, I'm sure, because they're probably of high quality as well).

I wanted to go to sleep after this chapter, but how am I supposed to do that now? You're good, too good. Poor Watari.

That was evocative... Light's monologue and the responses in touch... Though I'm undoubtedly a yaoi fan, I don't believe this is LxLight fanservice--it's much more powerful and visceral than sexual undertone. Incredible.

Terribly powerful and gripping, and tragic right till the end. I don't like Near at all, and to be honest, I'd have preferred it if he hadn't ended up 'victorious'. But apart from that (a personal preference, so to speak) it was a brilliant piece of work.

its good... but i feel like i'm about to cry, out of frustration!! i have such a vague idea of wtf is even going on. the epilogue, i cant figure out who it is. near? is l dead? please, i would love an explaination of this story from someone, anyone.

why do people think l is kira? they think he murdered 2 people...? i dont understand what is going on.

I really feel cheated out of this story...I mean, we don't get a conclusion for L? For the NPA? For all of the others who are left? Why Near? Did L retire? You shouldn't have left us hanging like that!

You don't know how much I hate you right now. True, I knew he was gonna die all along, but couldn't you have given him a more prolonged and better death? Geez. I hate it when authors give Light a moment of weakness and make him give up.
