well that's certainly an interesting way to portray how Light would have Ryuk's powers. Very original!

I like where this AU is going. Ryuk's way of speaking is great to read; I love really personalized speech, and Ryuk definitely has a unique flair for speech. I'm curious to see what happens next. Ryuk might have done Light a favor because Light had helped him out before, but if Light keeps hanging around and asking for/about stuff, I bet Mr. Criminal will start demanding other things as well. Quid pro quo, and all that jolly good junk. After all, Ryuk didn't get to his high-level power position by being a softy with every Joe Shmo who ever lifted a finger to help him. I don't think Light fully understands just how dangerous Ryuk is; if his name is feared even by low-level gangs of misguided kids, then he has to be known in some pretty wide and fishy circles.

I've had the funnest time imagining Ryuk as a human!! This is quite the original plot line! Haha and I love coward!Light - I think it suits him XD Is he going to be a super-genius here? Or just an average thinker? Little-Mr.-Righteous all tangled up with the mob XD Priceless!

UPDATE? I really like where this story is going! Almost every other fanfiction has the same plot line, but this is way different. In a good way of course! Light didnt join the police force but instead became a reporter. Thats pretty sweet.
I love how you portray Ryuk. He still sounds like the same ol' Death God but is a gang boss.
