Norrsken 2008-08-21 ch 1,	abuseThis tale is so filled with angst and complicated triangulation. Your dual POWs are most enticing. At first you let us explore Alexander's angst and regrets. It seems that he thinks far more about Hephaestion than Bagoas, as things should be ! Hephaestion's lonesome night is so filled with angst. He intends to talk straight to Alexander about his unfaithfulness, then he is shocked by fait accompli. I feel so sorry for him, but your imagery where the sky and the waters mirrors his feelings of abandonment is most poignant. I like the ending, where they are reunited and make it up. it's good to see Hephaestion stand up for himself, and offer some stern and substantial reproach to his Golden One. This is an interesting situation that I think has never been told this way : I like your Bagoas, not silly, not intriguing, not calculating, and with no more significance than just an young pretty eunuch. I like your Alexander, very human precisely, and I like your Hephaestion, ever so generous, even in pain. He has an amazing presence and it seems natural that he'd be the one to keep Alexander sane all the way long. Looking very much forward reading more, with a special mention for the "Mallian Wound" serie, and a wish for a stoty in the idea of your last "Egypt", which was so pleasant to read as well! Yolass

Anise 2007-10-19 ch 1, anon.	abuseI loved how it almost seemed as though they were acting like teenagers in a way with Alexander banging his head against the wall and lamenting how Hephaestion will hate him and then Hephaestion just up and taking a swing at him, it really did show the connection between the two, after all they did have an entire conversation without even saying a word. The way you showed just how influenced they were by each other and how much they take each other into consideration about their decisions plus the fact that Alexander's common sense seems to be named Hephaestion was wonderfully done and I really enjoyed reading this! :)
