"You're nice." That's adorable. You write Nathan very well for someone with "no maternal instincts." He's fantastic, and I loved to see him and Bobby interacting. So well written, as always and *so* cute!

Wow. This was really good. I was incredibly moved by the scene with Alex and her mother at the end of the chapter when her mother tells her that the world is full of surprises. It is so nice to see that the mother daughter bond develops more fully and gets stronger as children age. I also really enjoyed that Bobby has made Nathan's list. Very sweet. You really are getting good at doing fluff without being too fluffy and I really really like that. We both know about our mutual aversion to pouring the sugar on too thick. Great job. I can't wait for more. And don't be discouraged by what I can see are not very many reviews for this chapter. I think readership is way down around here these days. Unfortunate, especially when talent like yours is in full force.

A chapter full of all-too-true advice, sweet moments, and priceless humor. I know you said you don't like writing fluff, but you do a fantastic job of keeping it from becoming too sugary. I was thrilled to see this chapter, and I can't wait for the rest.

m, lots of good stuff in this chapter. i'm holding out hope that nathan will decide it's cool to be the ring bearer for aunt alex and uncle bobby. that was neat about bobby making his short list. sissy was hilarious! glad alex didn't let any of that upset her. and the talk between her and her mom was priceless.

A girl's wedding day is special and you're making it that way - it's sentimental without being mawkish. I loved how you concentrated on Alex,her Mom and their relationship. Alex's vulnerability comes through in a real way and her Mom's words of wisdom and counsel really hit the mark. Loved the bit about getting to take the baby home - her Mom knows what worries Alex.

Loved the little interchange over Nathan - Bobby has definitely got the seal of approval. And Sissy is an enchanting little character. I love her spunk and overexcitement and what's that they say about 'out of the mouth of babes'? That line was classic - vintage Alyssa.

As was this one - “Uh, actually—I can. Would’ve saved me about five years’ worth of cheap dates.” Excellent installments with just the right mix of humor, sentimentality and sass.

Aw, Lewis as Benjamin Braddock. I love Lewis. More Lewis later, please?
