abuseThat's an adorable story. Great idea, and the thought of little genius Peter makes me happy. *Hugs little genius Peter* I'm going to keep calling him that now.

abuseNice fic!
Still I'm pretty sure Peter was much younger when he went to live with his Uncle and Aunt. Also I'm pretty sure that May never much wanted Children as i remember a comic going into some depth about her past and it showed her dislikeing Ben Parker's much younger brother because he was a immature tagalong she had to put up with while she dateing Ben.
But none of that is very important due to retcons and the fact that Pater's life before the spider bit him is very rarely discussed in depth.

abuseThis was well-written and endearing. One comment: Peter sounds more like an 8-10 yr old than 6. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this short piece.

abuseA lovely little prequel you've cooked up here. I really love how you've given very strong hints of Peter's genius. Too bad that this aspect of his character was not given more attention in the movies. (Though in SM-3, Peter's voice-over narration indicated that he was once again at the top of his class, where he rightfully belonged.) May already knows that she may well have a prodigy on her hands. And you've done an absolutely marvelous (pun intended ;-)) job of getting the reader inside the mind of this five-year old prodigy. The question about radio having to do with sound is exactly the type of question that an extremely brilliant, scientifically curious child might ask.

Maybe you can do a ficlet about Peter's first encounter with Mary Jane? (Hint, Hint).

As usually, extremely well done. GK
