Leah 2008-09-10 . chapter 1 Truely amazing! One of the best Harley/Ivy fanfics I've read. I like the way that this isn't painted up with some sort of fairytale ending, it is more realistic but with a touch of hope.
When you wrote, "She won't say it back. She can't be Harley's until Harley is no longer his." about Harley being Ivy's girl was a great part of the story. It really shows that Ivy, regardless of what the comics and cartoon have said, does care about people but, is firm and always putting her foot down. It really shows a lot of emotions on Ivy's side which is great to see because we always see Harley's pain of being with the Joker, it was about time to get into Ivy's head.
I'm actually not sure of things to ask you to improve on...I saw eveything playing out in my mind, I thought the words really flowed, and I saw a lot of creativity. I guess my one piece of critique would be that I would love to see a few parts in this when the characters were a little more blunt. A lot of it had its elements of a mysterious, only-she-knows-it type of situations, and I think a nice addition would to have a few more blunt moments.
All I can say is, great job. Keep making more! |
nuttx 2008-07-30 . chapter 1I was beginning to lose faith in the writers in the Batman fandom; thank God I found you.
This is so beautifully poignant and expressive. Harley and Ivy are both perfectly in character, and you revealed a subtler side to both of them. Your style complements the piece perfectly, and ajfhsdjfsdjfd, it's so freakin' awesome. (: |
spedclass 2008-07-26 . chapter 1Awesome chapter keep up the good work and update soon! |
Akemi Haruka 2008-04-24 . chapter 1Wow. Just... wow.
You know, this was just the sort of story I was looking for, and the fact that it is so well written - eloquent, to say the least - is just the icing on the cake! You've captured these two characters just perfectly, really, and the pervasive sense of melancholy and resignation is one that jives wonderfully with my own perception of what their relationship would be like. Powerful stuff! I don't know who is more pitiful, Harley or Ivy; regardless, the angst is always appreciated. ^_^
Please do continue to write! You've just earned yourself a new fan! |
Vishas 2008-03-26 . chapter 1This was a great story. I really enjoyed the realism of Harley and Ivy's relationship. SEQUEL PLEASE! |
Drakon 2008-01-23 . chapter 1 A great story. A very believeable outlook on the characters, nice little details to flesh them out - sad, but only because the situation makes it so. I'd love to read more of that sort. |
 Christina 2008-01-07 . chapter 1 I liked it! ^.^ |
Cold Nostalgia 2007-10-24 . chapter 1Not only have you captured the characters perfectly, you've also got a real sense of sad resignation and helplessness throughout the story. I couldn't decide if I wanted to shake or hug Harley and as for Pam...aw.
This is one of the best Ivy/Harley/Joker triangle fics I've ever read and I do hope you continue to write some more DC stuff in the future. |
Mecha-Foot 2007-10-23 . chapter 1I must admit that when it comes to Harley/Joker I'm a lot like Harley herself: I know, deep-deep-deep down, that it's not really going to work, because even IF he loves her (and given his behavior, that's a pretty huge if), he's never going to show it because of his own personal issues.
But oh, it never stops Harley and me from hoping.
I adored this story. I think one of the most powerful passages was "Part of her knows that this is coming, because Harley does not know how to say thank you in any other way, and because they stood too close to each other while making dinner and Ivy felt the growing tension between them, slow and heavy." The writing is excellent. |
robotzz 2007-10-23 . chapter 1 Wow, powerful writing there! That was really good. You got into both character's mindsets perfectly. & you gotta love a bit of HarleyxIvy don't you :) really great story x |
