Sure, the lardball is freakin' HUGE, I know that, and respect that. And I know he has his supa-lazer, the fast regen, and the wonderous ball of lightning. But come on, the guy moves at around 5 miles an hour at most, on foot anyway. Punch O' Death, cool, miraculous ability to jump, fine, I'll even take it that he pulls Atom-crap out of the air. But if he can't freakin' see the thing he's trying to hit because its too busy running circles around him, THEN you have a problem. The Godzilla of New York, on the other hand, is one of natures finest city crashers, armoured back plates, the thing runs like nobodys bizness, and a flying leap just COME with the package. Not to mention that his fire ball is a thousand times cooler looking than Tubby's shoop de woop.

P.S. Cloverfield beasty? You just gotta make one with him. Did you know that he was actually made to be an infant monster? think reeaally hard about that for a moment. Wow.

Accept bad reviews like an adult and watch your language. Your story was biased, not accurate. You admitted as much when you said you willingly left out the real Godzilla's(Gojira of Hesie continuity & the 1954 movie, ofcourse.) nuke-pulse.

I enjoyed the story, but if you wanted others to agree with you, period, you're in the wrong web-site. I recommend You remove your story and put it inyour own personal site where your can control others opinion. It would be better than giving other guff because you disagree and getting yoursel all worked over trivialities like Godzilla stories(again you other readers, make NO mistake. I am major Godzilla fan. I just don't think it's worth getting foul mouthed about it. I quote a smart person who's name I wish I new; but the quote is no less meeningful. Huzzah For the Admiral! I totally agree that Godzilla could crush Gojira. Adn for all you people who say americazilla sucks, Let me tell you a story... Once opon a time there was a kid who was learning how to ride a bike. He started off with training wheels and after a few months moved up to a real bike. After taking off the training wheels he promplty fell over from lack of experiance. Now, Instead of geting up and trying again, he immediatly screwed the training wheels back on and developed contempt for the modern bike. Now, for all you lesser minded people out there, The kid and bike is the godzilla sieres, the training wheels are the suitimation and pokemon style abilities and the actual adult bike is the Modern CGI godzilla.

forget you.just forget you. godzilla is a giant lizard...an oversized iguana.He has the exact same brain capacity as a lizard,which is saying,zip.He also does NOT have fire breath,what it is is flammable gas that comes from his radioactivity,and not direct flame.the time godzilla breathed fire in GODZILLA was only because of the flaming cars and scenery,or because of the machinegun fire from the hummers.

ahem,here is his rundown of abilities...and no,they are not like giant pokemon abilities and are if anything BUT that.

Regeneration (from his organizer G-1)

extreme radioactive plasma breath...not fire,but it is drawing from some heat.

nuclear pulse.basically an extreme power up that allows him to blow away any monsters that agitate him,and increase the power of his breath ray.i agree with the person who said when G 98 leapt on the big G's back,he would have used the nuclear pulse to blow him right off, and turn around while G 98 was down and fry him with his spiral fire. another note is that the heisei (1985-1995or9?) was NOT a sumo wrestler by any means. he did fight hand to hand with clawings,bites,and tail lashes,and for the most of the time,traded beam strikes...which of G 98 has not got.Added,Gojira's arms are much more flexible,and can grab and throw,whereas godzilla's are just focused on burrowing and clawing. the big G could have grabbed deanzilla's neck,snapped it,and been on with blowing new york to strata. also,godzillas hide is amazingly tough,proven by the fact that missles,tank shells,any military weapon (mind you,not moguera,Kiryu,and some of the other g-force weapons.) do not harm him at all.whereas Dzilla is hurt and was KILLED by them.in that case,Dzilla would have sheared off his claws trying to dig at godzilla.he might have made some scratches,and some fangmarks with his teeth,but gojira would not have felt it.Gojiras brain is huge as well!he is second only in intelligence to Destoroyah.also,godzillas radiation might have been a bit too much for dzilla,and might have caused him to die from that...so all in all,

This is in response to your own review, Admiral: You're statements and reasons why you took away Gojira's natural abilities for this story doesn't make sense. That's like saying we're going to have Superman vs. Batman, but Superman cannot fly, use his heat ray eyes or super cold breath, and if he manages to hit batman with his full strength, it will only bruise batman instead of crushing his insides. You shouldn't even call yourself a true G-fan if you have to beg the question of why would the Tristar Godzilla be susceptible to Gojira's death ray. If goddamn torpedoes and missiles can kill the Tristar Godzilla, how the hell do you expect him to survive a death ray that has melted steel, synthetic diamond, and even metal from the future? The Tristar Godzilla would be K.F.C. after the first blast! And when did you come up with the bright idea that Godzilla needed to recharge his energy to be able to heal? He had super-regeneration LONG before they ever had him go after the nuclear reactors of power plants to replenish his fuel. I could say also the reasons that I have in other fanfics as to why the Tristar Godzilla could never defeat Gojiri even if he did fight the one from 1954. I could care less if you like the Tristar Godzilla or not, but by god I care when you disgrace the first and true Japanese Godzilla! Without all 27 movies (as of 2003) that Gojira has stared in, THERE WOULD BE NO TRISTAR GODZILLA FOR YOU TO LOVE AND WRITE ABOUT IN THE IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION OF HIM BEATING GOJIRA 1 ON 1! Get your damn facts straight before you criticize true G-fans for pointing out your plot holes and problems when putting the Japanese Godzilla in any fanfic!

Dear Admiral, its me. If you've read some of my reviews then you know that I don't like the American Godzilla. I also find you're claim that A. Godzilla could beat Japanese, or J., Godzilla to be preposterous. I'm not saying this because I like J. Godzilla more than the other, but because it is simple logic. Firstly, there is power, of which J. Godzilla's supply is virtually limitless. He's been shot, bombed, nuked, poisened, buried alive by avalanche and in a volcano and he just keeps coming back. A. Godzilla was killed off by missiles from a few jets. In "Godzilla vs. Biollante" J. Godzilla's firebreath melted the Super-X 2's fire mirror. If J. Godzilla's fire can melt daimond then it shoudn't have just hurt A. Godzilla, it should have killed him with one shot, because something strong enough to melt daimond is MUCH stronger than a few missiles. I also find the part where A. Godzilla cuts J.Godzilla to be rediculous because it takes something along the lines of Destroyer's laser horn to cut J. Godzilla. There is experience. Ever since his match with Anguirus in "Godzilla raids again," J. Godzilla has, for almost 50 years, fought the strongest monsters on Earth-King Kong, MechaGodzilla, Biollante, and even the strongest monsters in the universe-Hedorah, King Ghidora, SpaceGodzilla. A. Godzilla didn't fight even fight one monster in its one movie and the surviving baby that you're using has even less experience(it seems you're not using the cartoon Godzilla). And there is determination. All his films(over 20) show that J. Godzilla is almost like the Terminator. He feels no pity,pain, fear, or remorse. He can't be bargained or reasoned with, and will not stop untill you are dead. You might say that with all that power he can afford to be like that, but seeing how he fought to the death with Destroyer in "Godzilla vs. Destroyer" that remark is settled. Where did you get the idea that A. Godzilla could beat J. Godzilla? Secondly, I find you're remarks about J. Godzilla to be offensive. Chapman said that he looked like a man in a rubber suit and Hicks mocked the comment that is was like a force of nature. Unlike its forgery J. Godzilla was made with a purpose; he has a soul. It was made by the only country to have been the victin of a successful nuclear attack to show the horrers of nuclear war. He is the King of the Monsters. I admit like you said some of the later films of the second series were "cheesy," but the popculture charm comes from its cheesiness. And if you were to actually see more J. Godzilla movies you would see that they are the exception and not the rule. I don't think much of your comment about realism. Realism is nice, but documentaries are about realism, movies are about entertainment. Finally, IF IT WEREN'T FOR JAPANESE GODZILLA YOUR PRECIOUS AMERICAN GODZILLA WOULD HAVE NEVE EXISTED! Dang it Admiral, you should be demoted to captain.

I liked this piece. I'd have to say I'm a recent convert to the US Godzilla, after a recent viewing finding that creature to be a little more believable that the super-indestructable "guy in the rubber suit." As for Velocity's criticism, a creature doesn't have to be highly intelligent to use its natural defenses. There's something that animals have called instinct. I'm sure a wolf knows nothing of the inner workings of the respiratory and circulatory systems, but it certainly knows enough to attack a prey's throat, crushing the windpipe and tearing open major arteries. Maybe US Godzilla's "leap and turn" maneuver to drive its spines into its prey is instinct, not cleverness.

uuuhmm...No. Are you saying that NewG jumps at OldG and turns his(NewG's) back as he jumps so as to impale OldG? Right...And (1960ies)Godzilla in G Vs the Smog Monster can fly backwards using fire breath as continuous propulsion...What You are saying requires Smarts that realistically, niether monster would have, nor niether have they shown. Even WITH OldG's experience(born in 1954 & according to the VERY realistic 1984/5-return up to Destroyer, He was never shownto be THAT clever. Cunning and Relentless, absolutly. But Godzilla is like any other animal of GREAT experience[[Supa X1/Biolante/King Ghidrah(& later Mecha-KG!)/Mothra & her bad-to-the-bone antithesis, Battra/MechaGodzilla(can you say ROBOCOP?) & Rodan(later FIRE Rodan!)/SpaceGodzilla(Dumb Name)& Mogera(bad idea)/and finally even after so long, Destroyer(certainly G's most deadly opponant...Tho' to be honest. I'm not sure if you are refering to 1990ies JapaneseG or his son{Im not including Toho G2k. They say its different continuity}, so im thinking You mean before Destroyer.]]. Now for your big mistake. In 1954(in ALL continuities!), there was appearently no trace of OldG(Japanese-90iesis my target here). Yet he LIVED again. 1)No sign or hint of Mama of son of OldG in the movies, so dont go there. 2)Son not born until GvsM-G. 3)Oxygen Destroyer APPEARENLTY liquidates ALL of OldG from existance...BUT HE LIVED AGAINAnswer: The only way he could return is that some small trace of G-skin/bone/cell(what have you)escaped because of the rush of bubbles causing currents like a turkish pulsating bath PUSHED it far enough away(how far could the Oxygen Destroyer possibly reach? Right?). Left to its own devices...slowly, methodically grew BACK into Japanese-1990ies OldG...If this is so, then what makes You believe that even a(I'll admit, very damaging, very painful) ravaging like was given EXPERTLY by worthy opponant NewG2(USA) is going to keep OldG down very long...A few ribs, some muscle & fat(I thinks its ALL mucles to support him, but any way) & yes...even his heart. but His heart has been stopped quite a few times...Remember? Then there is the ultrfast healing that appearently has allowed OldG to survive almost UTTER incineration in the first place. And what about dino on Lagos Island? Only one there. Not one word or hint of other dinos, Right? Conclussion, Pre1954 Godzilla has been somehow given a VERY LONG LIFE! I'm afraid that anyway You look at it...JapaneseG will survive even NewG2(USA)'s awsomely 'killing' moves. Godzilla WILL live again. But the story was hot!

I have to admit...This is getting Good!

I hate leaving reviews for my own stuff but you people are driving me nuts! I used Gojira from two movies, the original one from 1954 and the remade one from 1985, along with the Devlin/Emmerich version from 1998. And you're right! I didn't use his nuclear pulse, his super-regeneration or any other nonsense from the rest of the sequels because I didn't want to turn this story into some goddamned oversized Pokemon battle! They're two big lizards that breathe fire, period! And speaking of that, why should the new Godzilla be so automatically susceptible to the other one's breath? They were made the exact same way! The one weakness Godzilla has that Gojira doesn't is the regenerative ability, and "regenerate" doesn't mean "impervious" (look it up if you can't grasp this!)! I grew up watching the old sequels and while I loved them to death, they were horrendously cheesy and unrealistic BECAUSE of most of the crap you guys keep complaining I didn't put in! GROW UP!
