I like how you wrote Link in this story and I think initially he was with Amber because she was the popular girl and one of the lead dancers on the show, plus her mom was the station manager which couldn't have hurt (tho don't know if Link would be that whats the word-shallow?)

So, as Link danced and sang and smiled, he made himself a promise. Next time there was a chance for him to hang out with Tracy away from Amber and the council, he was taking it. He would hate himself if he didn’t.

He knew his priorities now, and number one was Tracy Turnblad.
