M i think i did read kingdome come too fast,since i though wally was the one who had been stuck like that. But anyway, i think you wrote down the feeling of the flash-or flashes- very well.Must be really hard to live like that,like a non-stopping machine, just to make sure his city is ok, not seeing,hearing,talking or living properly.Maybe you should have leave some space between lines,just to make it more easy to read,and maybe add a bit of suspense .
And who is the one in "Bright, primary colors of blue, red, and… black"?? i have my guesses,but i'm not sure.
