I liked this story a lot.

I guess without messy love triangle Daria had much less reasons to break up with Tom.

I'm a bit surprised that Sandi, learning that Quinn is Daria's sister, never tried to use Daria as a weapon against Quinn.

Beautiful fic. You realle are a good writer.

You right very well and have an excellent ear for dialogue. They really sounded like themselves (it isn't really in character since it isn't the Daria universe we know). I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and the cosmic order of the universe to reassert itself so that in the end Daria and Jane still wound up best friends. But this works well too. Just very sad.

Very good story here. I like how you presented how much a difference a day can make. I like the way you touched the major events of the series with your own twist.

Excellent story. A lot of people (myself included) wonder how Daria's life might have been different had she not met Jane in that self-esteem class, and it's interesting to see that she might not have changed *too* much after all. (I'm not concerned about Daria's attitude and behavior not having changed here as drastically as it did in the series; this *is* a tale of an alternate universe, after all, which means that all bets - up to a certain point - are off.) And I *still* think that the release of this story was *very* convenient, timing-wise, since the very subject of "what-if?" had recently been discussed on one of the Daria message boards. You *sure* you didn't get inspired and crank this puppy out over a three-day marathon writing session? ;-) (j/k) Again, good show, old chap!

Strange timing. But I liked it a lot. My only problem is that Daria's behaviour didn't change much considering the story covers 3 years. On the show there is a big difference between season 1 and season 5 Daria.
