This is an interesting idea. I liked your portrayal of Sakumo's suicide - it's a little different to most that I've read, which usually have Kakashi coming in after he's already dead or dying. I was close to tears at that part.

Naruto's reaction to events is spot-on throughout this - he's such a unique person, as he always does exactly what he thinks is right no matter what anyone else thinks of it, and that is admirable.

It's nice that he sees that Kakashi went through something similar to himself as a child. The villagers are very fickle and not at all pleasant really. Who blames a kid for something his father has done, or for having something sealed inside him which saved the village? It's even more amazing to think that after all that, Naruto is still desperate to defend the village and its people. He is the complete opposite of Sasuke - he can forgive so readily.

I wont ask, as I see it has been a while, but I do look forward to your next update.

Let me just say, this story is simply amazing, you have described the feelings really good and just the way you have wroted this story is just sooooooo good :)
