2009-04-26 . chapter 35
I'm sorry it took me so long to leave a review. I needed time to collect myself and dry the tears which began to pour from my eyes once I had finished the final chapter of this amazing story. :'(

Though I am very sad that this story has finally come to an end, I enjoyed every chapter of it. Throughout the entirety of the tale, you managed to keep Raven, as well as the other Titans, in character. You also provided the reader with an accurate perception of Raven's thoughts and emotions as she matured from a small child to a young woman and was forced to endure several harsh trials. Many, if not all of the scenes, were described fantastically and the emotions very realistic. In fact, in chapter 28, once Raven had revealed that she was the daughter of Trigon and the bringer of the end of the world, I felt truly sorry for her and my heart ached at the thought that her fellow Titans might actually be avoiding her. Not to mention the fact that Raven believes that given her background no one ought to be concerned about her feelings or well being. Furthermore, I nearly cried when Raven saw the mangled corpses of her mother, Gayla, Coman, and Azar as they began to hurl such cruel words at her. That was a truly devastating scene. It certainly explains why she beat the crap out of Slade. Speaking of which, I loved the mention of Lord Voldemort in chapter 28 as well. ;) Like I said before, you should seriously consider writing a HP/TT crossover.

Oh my goodness, though I'm sure it wasn't intended to be funny, I couldn't help but burst out laughing when I saw the date at the top of Chapter 29. For some reason, I had never even considered the possibility that 06/06/06 was the date that the world was going to end. It's highly appropriate though. Skipping ahead here, I loved the explanation you came up with as to why Raven was regressed to the form of a child. And of course, we have the momentous event of Raven returning to her usual physical form and destroying Trigon the Terrible. That was definitely a very epic scene.

The epilogue was somewhat morbid, what with Raven's visiting her mother and grandmother's graves, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It was also nice to see how Raven and Beast Boy had changed over the course of two years.

Well my friend, this has been an absolutely amazing story and I am devastated that it has finally come to an end! Honestly, when I finished the epilogue, I nearly cried right then and there and I was feeling pretty blue for the rest of the night. But I've managed to recover since then. I look forward to reading whatever it is you come up with next! :)

This is a wonderful and incredibly detailed chapter. I must say apparently I did not start reading at the beginning because I still have these questions to ask;
What originally happened on Raven's birthday?
What are the bolded words between paragraphs supposed to represent?
Other than this, I truly do think it was wonderful and resembles the television episode greatly. If you want my personal opinion, I'd have to say I liked the battles best!

I'm sure it doesn't need saying, but Slade is so obviously a rapist.

Not much more to say, since this is pretty much a transcript of the episode, but I liked it.

Oh my goodness! You have definitely made my day! In all seriousness. I foolishly went to see Twilight and I deeply regret that. As I am typing this, I am also dealing with a massive headache, which is the by product of possibly hundreds of screaming fan girls. A little word of advice, don't see the movie if you want to keep your eardrums.

Anyway, let's move along, shall we? This chapter was bloody amazing! I was positively thrilled to see that a new chapter had been posted. I immediately clicked the link in my inbox and began to read with an idiotic smile on my face. I particularly enjoyed the sheer length of the chapter, as well as your interpretation of what it is that was going through Raven's mind during this rather traumatizing experience. I also thought the song "Snow White Queen" was rather appropriate as well, in nearly every aspect.

You marvelously managed to convey Raven's sense of foreboding throughout this entire chapter. I have no complaints whatsoever. This was my favorite episode of the entire Teen Titans series and you did a fantastic job as well. Thank you for updating! Keep up the great work and, as always, update soon!

P.S. I hope you feel better. :)

Yay! A little fluff between Beast Boy and Raven. And I've always wondered what else they talked about while sitting on the shore. Favorite chapter so far, and one of my favorite episodes of the series. Hopefully there is a relationship for them sometime in the future. After Trigon gets his butt handed to him for good, of course. Titans Together! Together Forever!

Sincerely,

Yes darling, it was very fluffy at the end. ;) Though I am not particularly a fan of the BB/Rae pairing, I still thought it was a very touching scene. Unfortunately, as the series has been canceled, we will never know what might have been.

The information on Trigon was very interesting as well, as is the fact that Raven has seemed to have given up the search for a means to prevent her deadly destiny. It is very understandable. Adonis's unrequited 'love' was also very amusing. I wonder if the thought that Beast Boy was jealous ever crossed Raven's mind. Apparently, the changeling has been very protective of our Raven as of late and it is a definite possibility.

It's nice to see that the two (Beast Boy and Raven) are taking things slowly. There is definitely potential for a relationship there. The song was very fitting.

This was a great chapter! I am presently going through a somewhat difficult time and this has definitely been the highlight of my day. Keep up the great work and update soon! Woot! Season four is almost here!

Only ten? My word.

This chapter was entertaining, and will hopefully mark the start of a bit more BB/Rae-ness. Well written as ever and I liked the ending especially.

An incredible story, I am sorry about the schizophrenia thing, my cousin has it and it is horrible, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but I understand what you are going though and I Wish you the best.

GASP! Now the world has officially come to an end! ;) Happy Belated Birthday! How old are you turning?

This was a great chapter, albeit undeniably sad. Malchior's betrayal clearly wounded Raven, and this happening so soon after Robin was like salt in the wound. I feel very sorry for the poor girl. :( I thought that the song "Lithium" went very well with the events of this chapter. It's also a good song in general.

10 chapters! There are only 10 chapters left! NO! Wait...does this mean that the following chapter will be the starting point for season four? Oh, I hope so! Heehee.

Like I said, this was a great chapter! Keep up the great work and update soon!

Oh the suspense!

I was crying with glee when I saw that you had updated. I immediately clicked on it and began to read. Annoyingly, I have been interrupted so many times it's not funny. Hmph. This was a great chapter! Although I did feel sad during several points in the chapter due to the simple fact that as the reader I know that everything that has spilled from Malchior's 'mouth' has been nothing but lies, or at the least, half-truths. I also noticed, perhaps more than in previous chapters, how little attention the others pay to Neurotic's words. Well, she will be having the final laugh in the end.

Though it was also interesting to hear the conversations between Malchior and Raven. I had always wondered what exactly it was that the two had discussed on that first night. Everything was described well and you have managed to convey Raven's love-struck state of mind. Once again, this makes me all the more sad knowing that this does not end well.

The song "Good Enough" went very well with the events of this chapter as well. It conveys that Raven is so greatly enamored with Malchior it is almost as if she were under a spell. I'm also guessing that the song for the next chapter might be "Anything For You."

Once again, this was a great chapter! Keep up the great work and update soon. Best of wishes to you and your family.

P.S. "But what was most interesting about the picture was that the usually somber mage was shown smiling lightly and (at least according to Raven), she actually looked attractive for once."

I have a question as to the words in the parentheses. I interpreted it to mean that although Raven does not believe that she is attractive in any way, shape or form, this is in fact not true and she has appeared attractive several times in the past, not just that once. Is that what you meant here?

Okay, I've thrown this little theory around a lot, but I'm going to say it again:

Malchior is as camp as a row of rainbow tents.

Seriously, he's so...effeminate in his refinement, it's actually funny. Or, it would be, if he didn't ooze (to borrow a phrase from kerricarri) "would-be rapist charm".

And go, Neurotic. Happy asking her i8f she could be happy for once is a really stupid question.

God-damnit, I have nothing more enlightening to say. But since you've written so much I hate to leave such a paltry review. Thus, I shall summon my namesake, Phil Space.

"Where do I take this pain of mine?
I run but it stays right by my side.
So tear me open, pour me out;
There's things inside that scream and shout.
And the pain still hates me,
So hold me, until it sleeps."
-Metallica, "Until it Sleeps".

Hate metal. Love Metallica.

Okay. I've read this for a while, but never reviewed, beacuse I'm inconsiderate like that. But this is seriously awesome. Although I was a little concerned by the idea that it was a writeup of some episodes, you've pulled it off extremely well, and although the extended (onesided) RobRaeness tried my patience a little, it is a testament to your writing that I enjoyed the story nonetheless. I hope to see more of this in the future, and hopefully an increase in the BB/Raeness. Quick question, though. What seaon are we up to here, now? I can never remember the order.

This was a great chapter! Although I wanted to cry at many points. It doesn't help that it looks like it's gonna rain outside my window. My eyes even began to water, especially when Beast Boy called Raven creepy. I just thought that was very uncalled for. However, I was probably most sad for Raven when Robin said that she was like the little sister he never had. He just really killed it.

I also liked how you described Raven's thoughts near the end of the chapter. It was very well-written and what I expect Raven must have been thinking at this point. I swear a tear trickled down my face at that part.

Then comes Malchior, and we all know how that ends. Just the thought made me want to cry. And at the moment, I find myself really wishing that Malchior was the person he pretended to be and not a lie. -Sigh-

Anyway, enough of my depressed mindset. This was a great chapter and I can't wait to see what happens next. Well, I already know but you get the point. ;)

P.S. I hope your aunt is doing well. Just hang in there. :)
