I loved this! Each act was definitely something that Shawn would keep from his father, though each of them would have been easier to handle if his father was there for him. This was great!

This was wonderful! I'd love to see this written out into a full many, many, many chapter-long fanfic, because it would be amazing, but if you're planning on ending here I understand.. it's perfect, I just love uber-long fics! Plus, it'd be interesting to read about henry finding out about some of these things... what can I say? I love the angst!

I love your writing style. A short chapter, yet so powerful. I think you make a good case...Henry is a good parent but makes Shawn close up around him. It would be interesting to see what Henry really would say had he known some of these. I would love for you to write a longer story! ;)

Another amazing fic! I don't know where you got the idea for this but it worked wonders describing the Shawn-Henry relationship.

The first one certainly grabbed my attention. To begin with I can see Shawn being one to never tell anyone that he was raped and then acting all "macho" about it at school. I think the line "And that this… act… wasn't one hundred percent consensual on Shawn’s part" was what really got me. It was so purely Shawneske, I can picture Shawn telling someone that. Then you saying how Henry didn’t know because he was never home. I think it's the need for constant Shawn whumpage that would love to see that elaborated upon more, or maybe just my messed up side that craves it. Either way you should really consider writing more about that; I'd be sure to R & R if you did.

The dog house part is completely believable. Shawn would never want to admit any weakness to his father because he knows that his father would try to beat it out of him—minus the beating part—by locking him in confined spaces or something of the like.

If Shawn were to tell his father that he almost died of a drug overdose I highly doubt Henry would believe Shawn. Henry thinks everything his son does is stupid and irresponsible and Shawn probably would do drugs just to spite him.

To me Henry has never come off as very emotionally available and even if Shawn were to tell Henry that he may be infected with HIV Henry wouldn’t really be there for Shawn since he tends to have better things to do than fuss over Shawn (or show any inkling that he has such feelings for his son).

Your “fifth thing” Shawn never told his father just goes to prove why Shawn never tells his father so many things: he always finds a way to blame it on Shawn even if he is only an innocent bystander in the situation and Shawn can do nothing but take it.

If you ever write that story about the “act” you have to let me know.

I honestly loved it and all...but still, just like that?

I think this would be a lot better if you continued this story, like going into details about each one...maybe even adding on a few more. And how does someone hide college? Anyway, I still liked it, but I really do think it could've gone on a lot longer.

Although I am intrigued as to where you got this idea, especially the first one, because that was honestly my favorite.

Just thought that had to be said. But I really did like it.
