You really felt Reid's terror growing, and the images were scary as hell! And I loved how we spent 9/10 of the story hearing and watching Reid's perspective, and it wasn't until Hotch and Emily went to his apartment that it even occured to me that it could be schizophrenia (or that they would see it as schizophrenia - I was almost in tears at that point because that's exactly what it would've looked like to them). So incredibly sad, and terrifying at the same time. Definitely the best Halloween fic I've read on this site, in any fandom (even better than your 'Trickster', which was frightening in its own right!). Wow. I just don't even know what to say to describe what I'm feeling. But could you please consider writing more? Because it felt like the last line just cut off the ending... Anyways, great writing. I look forward to reading more of your fics. Keep Smiling! ;) |

So scary, and so realistic at the same time. I love how you portrayed him as 'crazy' but still Reid, still with a rational explanation and reasons for his fear of the shadows. Even when Hotch and Emily went to his apartment, he was still Reid, even with the papers and destroyed furniture and everything. I don't know if you understand what you mean, I'm obviously not a very good writer :P Anyway, good job. Freaked me out and that's a good thing! Thank you! |
