This was well-written and clever, and I like the idea of Jayne and River in cahoots to do nice things for the rest of the crew. It seems like a very in-character way for them to go about it -- enjoying duping the schmoes at the illegal fighting rings and all... Fun story!

Heh. This is SUCH a Jayne and River thing to do! I'm reminded of another (very funny) fic called "Tiny," by voodoobuddha, which had Simon patching River up after a fight and yelling at Jayne for getting her involved in the little racket they had going, even though, in Jayne's words "it were Moony's ruttin' idea."
