Awesome story - you can really get a feel for the atmosphere of the battle, the panic and terror of the barely-trained militia against the inhuman ferocity of the beastmen raiders.

But the wizard should have been spawned, before proceeding to devour the townsfolk and join the beastman warband to sacrifice more souls to the dark gods. ;)

Awesome start, but I wonder if you'll have the main character corrupted or he'll become a battle wizard or something for the empire. Just be careful not to make it a Harry Potter remake. You know with the school and annoying friends...then again you could ignore me and do just that. But otherwise its an awesome story, KEEP GOING!

I like it! I'm not that good at writing indepth reviews, I either like a story or I don't.
