So it really is a monster...? If this is someone faking it, I can't figure out how. "It was death in tangible form." I love that line. Actually, I love your descriptive language in general. My only regret is that the chapters aren't longer, but I throughly understand about how we actually own very little of our time...

Welcome to the Sherlock Holmes fandom and what an entrance. Dear lord, I've often dreamed of this...Sherlock Homes meets H.P. Lovecraft...meets science fiction Aliens creature. You're a great writer and your work has that dark feel you find in an H.P. Lovecraft novel. It can be difficult merging mystery. horror, and sci fi, but wow...that last chapter amazing. I like your Holmes and for once, I don't blame him for running like a bat outta Baker Street! How will he rationalize and destroy this thing though...or will it leave a little of itself behind in him...oh dear. Keep up the great work.

OH-MY-GOSH that thing is gross! Holy cow that was scary! Ok, please, PLEASE hurry with that next chapter! I may seriously have a heart attack here! I have to ask, did you come up with this stuff all on your own? I mean, is the creature/demon/whatever original?

From what I can tell, you do a very good characterization of the great detective. This is quite a good story. I would like to see how Sherlock handles this beast.

Lord, is this some kind of Victorian "Alien"? This has promise to be a very excellent story! You have a very nice writing style for a mystery story, as well, and all the technical stuff is artfully done.

Great beginning! You do an excellent older Holmes voice. But poor Watson's dead?? *sniff* I'll miss him. Though you're explanation of his death rings true to his character.
