it's like Gollum in LOTR:RTOK: "We forgot the sound of the wind in the trees--the taste of bread--we even forgot our own name--my Precious." It's like a version of Faustus starring Richard Burton and Liz Taylor, made back in the late 1960's (I'm old) A tear rolls down Mephistopheles' cheek. Faust asks why. Mephistopheles answers: he it eternally banned from heaven. He will never again know joy and contentment. I almost feel sympathy for them--until I remember that they tried to slash teh Hobbits to pieces in Bree, and were probably responsible for the deaths of thousands of the Edain over the course of their millenial-long lives.

I love the nazgul, so it makes me happy there is someone who writes fanfics on them. I have read many of your fics, and maybe someday I will write reviews for them too...
