You know I probably would've put something in the author's notes about assuming certain things in Crossroads and AHBL2 didn't happen, because they've established in both Crossroads and with John's escape that such deals most definitely can be broken, so the whole premise doesn't fit canon at all. But if you ignore that technicality, it's a really clever idea and very true to the characters

This was a wonderfully poignant story. I love the way that Sam is willing to sacrifice both his humanity and his soul for Dean and, even then, still retains some sense of good-heartedness to provide his brother the delusion that everything is fine. In many ways, this would be a perfect ending to the Deadline plot.

Extremely clever, the whole concept just really worked. I loved the idea of it all but god, I hope Kripke has a better plan than that! You rock!
