This is very well done. It sounds just like the voice of a mother seeking reconciliation.

However, the one thing I would pick a bone with is that it doesn't sound like an 11th century narrator. She sounds like a modern woman.

Very interesting pov, but sadly I don't think the writing is as good as some of your others. Not that it's bad, of course. Just not as flowery and poetic at times.

But I liked it still.

This is a lovely story, and deserves to have more reviewing!

You have a wonderful voice for the character, and the historical notes really help move the universe into the world we know.
