I admit you had a little worried for awhile there only because I didn't know how far you were going to take things in your flashback to Adam as a kid and I didn't know if I could handle that right now. I'm not a huge Adam fan, he's okay and all I just like the regular cast members better, but you really tugged on my heartstrings and got me interested in him. As for constructive criticism, try to look out for using the same word more than once in a sentence. There was one line that jumped out at me: "Aspen Murray, probably and ironically the person who had come to know him better in the last few months better than had his colleagues of a few years." Either "better" would have been fine, but you don't need both. :) Anyway, you've successfully sucked me in and I'll be reading this as you go forward. You write very well, your plot and story is fantastic thus far, and even with the occasional human grammar error there's nothing bad enough to draw me out of the story and keeping people involved in the story is always the main goal. So bravo on the first chapter and keep up the good work. :) |
