This was interesting, but slightly confusing.. was it that the Russians took away House's pain if he agreed to become a slave? The details in this are very vague, and I suppose that could have been your intention (and it does work very well), but could you clear it up for me?

Okay. I think it was very well written. However, you should have broken it up into at least five chapters. It makes it easier to read. Sometimes I felt that the story was a little vague on details. And I wish that you would have made the ending a little more drawn out.

This is, quite honestly, the best piece of fanfiction I have ever read. Period. The ending was beyond emotional. The entire premise of the story could have been wildly unbelievable in the hands of a lesser author, but you wrote it well and convincingly. The voices of House and Wilson were absolutely spot on. I liked the interspersing of what happened in Russia with what was happening at Princeton-Plainsboro, and the change to present tense for the last section worked really well, in my opinion.

Again. Fantastic. I take my metaphorical hat off to you. An intensely moving and amazingly well written piece of fiction. Four months well spent, I say. This deserves to become as much of an epic as The Contract.

This is wonderful! :D I've read 'The Contract' and 'GUESSWORK', but I think that this tops them. You kept all the characters wonderfully in-character, despite the AU situations that were taking place. I do wish we were able to see a bit more of what House was thinking/feeling when he was finally sent home and when he woke up, if it registered. I do love the ending as it is, though...it was such an intese picture, and you just get this flood of understanding at the end, realizing what it must be like for him after what he went through... I really liked the style that you wrote this in, switching periodically from past to present, so you get the right amount of information at the right time, making it all the more enjoyable to read.
