AW! here is an idea for the alternate ending. keep the part when jakob trying to kill Roy and Sakura jump in the middle of the fire to get her burn up. for some unknown reason, there was a cat passing by and Al decided to transfer her soul to the cat forcing the cat's soul to come out. after a few days, Ed and Al use the same method they did to bring Al body back on Sakura(cat). the ending should be something about they lived happily ever after and the First rose of summer bloom after the first rain of April. rose stand for love right so it will be really romantic. it just a thought, you dont have to do it if you dont want to. i love your story though. So far, your tragedy category story is the best i've read in FMA fanfic.

I really like the scene between Ed and Al on the train. The reader can feel Al's embarrassment about himself and his feelings for Sakura. I also can feel that Al is trying to spare Ed's feelings for some reason, but I don't quite know why!

The way you built up to the scene was really good, and the way you just had a little tag-end after it, so the scene between Al and Ed is the focus of the chapter.
