Aw... what happened? I feel sorry for Falco. I'm glad Peppy is like a father figure to the team. But why would Falco still feel like a kid? The sentence that said, "Falco could remember feeling very grown up being allowed to stay up so late in the night, in fact it was probably still before midnight." Well, other that that little bit of confusion, IT'S AWESOME! I hope to see more chapters soon... keep up the great work. ;-D

I'm glad to see you are still writing. For such a short story, you managed to capture a lot of emotion. The way you were able to blend in description of the physical world with Falco's own thoughts added greatly to the feel of the story. Overall, it was an excellent read.
