| Baschashe 2008-03-28 ch 1,  | abuseThis was a lovely story. :) I loved how she felt the warmth even beneath his gloved hand, that when he releases his hand, she feels the cold again. "Her dreams are only of the knight in the garden, a beacon of white in a world of black." This was a beautiful way to end the story. Only a one shot huh? I would love to see where it would go from there on? |
| Kitsilver 2008-01-06 ch 1, | abuseYour Rasler dies a whole year after his and Ashe's wedding? I like how King Raminas reminds Ashe that it is her duty to be strong before her people. But his anger at her obvious grief feels off because it's far removed from the kind, gentle father I imagined him to be. Basch using Ashe's full name is a nice touch, more personal than "your Majesty" and more intimate than "Ashe". It feels odd that Ashe feels that strongly about Basch so soon after Rasler's death, but considering the length constraints of a oneshot, it's pretty well done. I like the scene at the end with Ashe watching Basch walk away, and the juxtaposition of a ghostly Rasler and Basch, the knight in the garden. Good writing overall, and much love for Basch x Ashe. We really need more good fics for this pair |

That part with Raminas was original too - after all, he was often portrayed as a kind old man. But yeah, your take made a lot of sense. That was more likely to happen. It was super nice!! Amazing! |
