excessivelyperky 2009-11-22 . chapter 25Interesting chapter. Poor Marty--I wonder what he thought he was doing? And why leave the potassium chloride syringe there in the first place, even though the fingerprints have been wiped? Without the syringe, there would have been little or no evidence that Augusta's death was a homicide anyway. The syringe pointed towards a Muggle method of death, not a Wizarding one (one suspects that an AK death looks very natural after the fact as well).
As for Snape, he ought to know that Becky is still in danger, possibly more so than ever. Grover's coming back, possibly with a weapon this time. Becky needs to swear out a restraining order now, and then disappear with Tommy for a while, or Grover could easily kidnap his son and hold him hostage. |
excessivelyperky 2009-11-21 . chapter 24Another good chapter. Becky will be in good hands with her friend Daisy--here's hoping Daisy is the sort that will let her precious Becky have any friends besides herself, especially since she was dead right about Grover.
And here's hoping Hermione can put her finger on what is really wrong about the relationship between her and Odin. She's not actually in love with him, and she's always looking for reasons to like him. |
excessivelyperky 2009-11-21 . chapter 23I love the parallels you run--between Becky and her child, and Snape's family, and between Becky's husband and (possibly) Odin. I'm glad how Snape wants to help - and if Grover decides a restraining order is so much paper, which it often is, I suspect there will be no trace left, or the cause of death will look accidental. Plus, there are some counties in the U.S. where if someone tries to violate a restraining order and ends up with a sudden case of death, the actual investigation is not perhaps as thorough as it could be.
And obviously, we're going to find Odin's fingerprints in the house. I mean, I can see that one coming. But how, and why, and who planted them there? |
excessivelyperky 2009-11-15 . chapter 22What is it with Snape and unattainable women? It'll be interesting to find out how much Becky really knows about her husband, too--Severus needs to make sure he's not being taken in by some kind of weird game. Becky may not be what she seems, either.
As for Odin, a simple AK may look like a heart attack, too. I'm sure there are lots of charms that might not leave any trace, either. |
excessivelyperky 2009-11-13 . chapter 21If Snape knew more about American Muggles, he would be _amazed_ at one being able to trace ancestry all the way back to the 1600s .
Though if neither Dorothea nor EB Brooks recognize Augusta Longbottom (or at least isn't saying so), how do they know it was Augusta and/or her wand in the first place and not just someone claiming to be her? Can you say Polyjuice? I'm sure this sort of thing happens in Wizarding society all the time--if Hermione and Draco can make Polyjuice, surely there are others (cough Knockturn Alley cough).
Odin, I think, is properly suspicious. Wouldn't the Longbottoms have a normal family solicitor? Who was the lawyer who made the first will, anyway?
Good chapter. |
excessivelyperky 2009-10-06 . chapter 20Good chapter--but if I had to choose between Odin and Neville, would grab Mr. Herbology in a flash. There's something really wrong going on here... |

 Aurelia Rose 2009-08-01 . chapter 25Haha. so true :)
For PotO I only have seen two of the movies.. the silent film & the one with minnie driver in it...
Unfortunately, I have not seen many plays..(Only one to be exact). I have only seen two ballets and two musicals, but otherwise that is all.
Grover is such an **. I completely agree with Snape's hope ;D
Are Neville & Odin ever going to be (for the lack of a better word..)friends?
Out of curiousity what is your opinion twilight?

Lady Seren 2009-08-01 . chapter 24I haven't reviewed for awhile, so I guess I will now. I'm a bit weirded out by the different storylines with Severus & Hermione since up until this point it didn't seem like there was any chance of them meeting up again or anything. Which is what I'd like to see eventually. But I am curious about what is going on, so I stick with it. I don't have time to go look up your LJ, but you could easily say that the school is in Salem, Oregon (the state capitol) instead of Massachusetts. I would actually find that kind of funny and amusing if it was there instead of the more obvious 'Salem'. |
notwritten 2009-07-31 . chapter 24This has been enjoyable to read. Thank you for sharing it. Have a cool weekend. Keep smiling. :-) |
yours-in-apathy 2009-07-31 . chapter 24I smirk every time someone calles Snape 'Mr. Snopes'. It's great. |
Aurelia Rose 2009-07-31 . chapter 24I'm more of a reader then a writer, but when I do have an idea in my head that strikes me I write it... and my love of history and research lead my to the Harry Potter Lexicon(check it out if you wish). I wished to write a fanfic and found a lot of detailed information about the Harry Potter world, and that is when I came across the different schools about a year ago...
and this is where I agree with you. i lived in NJ for two and half years and one summer I visited family in Massachusetts and we went to Salem. Nobody in Harry Potter would want to be there. XD
I was just curious as to why it wasn't mentioned... since it is mentioned by JKR.
I have to agree with Mrs. Granger.. Odin is a dodgy fellow.
Severus is SO much better.
and have you seen the actual Phantom of the Opera or just the movie..?

Jeanne 2009-07-31 . chapter 24 I'm enjoying this story immensely, even though I was a bit put-off at first with Snape's 'Lily.' However, it's still a very good read, and I look forward to the next update! :] |
