holy hell! that came right out of left field. Quistis? I wasn't expecting that. I never had a chance to actually read one of your storys but so many say you're the best Squall/Rinoa writer on the site so I had to check it out. I like what i see so far, let's hope it keeps up. (don't see how it could possibly be bad though, what with the 10 plus reviews.

The writing, descriptions, dialogue, plot, everything was perfect. Except one thing.

The characters. That ruined it all.

If you ask me, in all her incredible suffering for doing no wrong, beautiful enough to drive some guy to derangement over her, and supposed death in her love interest's arms shortly followed by a selfless offering to Ellone to say last words, Rinoa was a Mary Sue. You wrote her well though, and I would have dealt with it.

But then you made the rest of the main characters full of sins and betrayal, Squall most of all. The combination of Rinoa and Squall, and having to read their interactions throughout... well, I'll just stop. I've made my point, I think you know where I'm going.

Dancing in Time remains my favorite story out of the thousand FF8 fics I've read, and I deify your writing skills, but I'd really wish Squall wasn't such a do-nothing-right in the other stories, particularly Crimson Lies.

Wonderful ending, Ashbear! I was crying! At least they lived happily ever after.

I spent the last two hours reading the rest of your story, and now all I can do is stare at my computer screen in shock.

It is a surprisingly difficult task to find a story that can be labeled as a masterpiece, but yours is a definite exception. The plot was so intricate and original, the characters so deep, I couldn't help but be drawn to it.

It isn't often that I find something so well-written that I can truly feel the emotions the characters feel, but now that I've come to the end of this absolutely beautiful story, I can't even remember the number of times I've cried or laughed. I've lost track of the times I decided to read just one more chapter, even at twelve in the morning, and now I'm dead scared I'm going to have the dreams Zell and Alexandra were having.

Crimson Lies is one story I will read over and over again, and the only thing I regret was reading through it so quickly the first time. Please don't stop writing, and I hope to see more from you in the near future.

Absolutely beautiful. This is definitely one story that I will re-read over again in the future. I must say that this fic will always be a significant part of me because I feel like I have a new outlook on life. You're a truly wonderful author with the ability to deeply impact people with your works. Heh, sitting on my comp reading through 42 chapters was one of the best things I had experienced. 42 chapters of pure originality, emotion, and genious. Keep on writing, Ashbear!

I've been reading your story for about 2 weeks, and I just read the last 10 or so chapters tonight. I love your story! It's so sad! I honestly cried at several times during these last 10 or so chapters, but I suppose I am feeling a little hormonal. I love all your work (that I've read so far), but Crimson Lies is amazing! Congratulations!

this is an amazing story,so emotional as are all of your fics The ending was kind of sad:( I dont like how Squall has to call her lauren.But your an amaxing writer I give this story 10/10

Well what can I say...? All my words and praises have been basically said by all your fans here but I'll say them anyway: THIS IS THE BEST FINAL FANTASY VI FANFICTION I HAVE EVER READ! I LOVE IT!

You write extraordinarily well, and on top of that, I applaud you especially for your keen, insightful description and characterization of Squall Leonhart-it was superb, and very human. )

Wow. That was an extremely addictive story and I loved it. The ending was more sad than I would have liked, kinda bittersweet... But it stays true to reality in that you never really get a happy ending. I would've liked to see what would happen to Squall if Rinoa had died. If Squall would have been strong enough to go on and how it could effect his relationship with his daughter...

Anyway that was such an awesome story, I might read it again sometime in the future.

Oh yeah, I really liked Alex's character and her backstory. That definitely made things really interesting.

Absolutely amazing! I'm not so much of a fan for stories with long and many chapters, but then I got sick of lovey dovey one-shots with no drama,angst,action etc etc. So I started reading Crimson Lies and got absolutely hooked! It is the BEST squall/rinoa fanfics i've ever read, probably ever. Thank you so much for writing such a beautiful story, the end of every chapter kept me at the edge of my seat!

Wow...just. WOW! That was an amazing story. You know something is great when you are supposed to be doing work, but instead you are reading possibly one of the best fanfictions I have EVER read. That's just... WOW. Angst, drama, comedy, emotions... WOW! Have I said wow yet?

This was a really good story, but I'm confused. It all made sense until chapter 42. So Elizabeth is Allison, right? And Squall... is Squall.. Rinoa is Lauren right? Ok, sorry Im confused. But you did an awesome job at this story! I found no flaws with it, except for the last chapter. Great job!

Oh - my - gosh. My brain was so full of the plot and romance I couldn't utter a word when it was finished. I didn't start much on FFVI but after reading this I not only gained a new level of understanding on FFVI but also on some of deeper philosophies evident through the characters' thoughts. This was absolutely marvelous. The plot was intertwined beautifully and the characters were kept nicely In Character. :D Took me three nights' worth of sleep to finish this, but... definitely worth it. I'm going crazy over this.
